COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Craftsman is our Chocolate oatmeal stout. To brew it we add a proportion of organic oatmeal to the mash for a velvety smooth mouthfeel. and plenty of dark roasted coca nibs to the mash, boil and fermentor. The result is a rich, intense stout with notes of dark chocolate that gradually gives way to a subtle hop finish. With malt, coffee and chocolate flavours, Craftsman pairs well with any dessert, or match it with hearty fare such as venison and beef

sulawang (591) - British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 28, 2013
Visual: "Winner of the Australian International Beer Award 2011 Champion Stout". Pours super dark brown with barely any head, very thin ringed retention, some activity on the surface. Nose: Very deep roasted coffee and liquid chocolate. (10)-aromatic strength. Attack: deep richness, syrupy mouthfeel Mid-palate: (6)-sweetness, (MAIN) mocha, vanilla, roasted coffee, malts, cola Finish: light alcohol, malty-roasted bitter finish. Summary: A very nice balance of bittersweet flavours. Decent body but more creaminess and a bit thicker mouthfeel would’ve made this super awesome. (Note: numbers above are on a 10-point weak-strong scale)

pintbypint (2537) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 27, 2013
500ml brown bottle. Black pour, low sitting creamy tan head. Nose has rich cocoa/chocolate, coffee and vanilla. Taste has vanilla, coffee grounds, chocolate. Finish has roast, and lots of lingering cocoa and bitter coffee. Body is light and carbonation mild. Overall, a good beer, but would have liked a bit more mouthfeel. Coffee and cocoa notes were nice though.

Gerbeer (1662) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 22, 2013
500 ml bottle. Pours an almost opaque dark brown with moderate head of big tan bubbles that dissipate quickly. Aroma of heavily roasted malts, brownies, and dusty dry cocoa. Flavors of bitter chocolate, black coffee, and roasted malts. Light, acidic, and overly carbonated. Sweet? I don’t think so.

500ml bottle purchased from Spinnakers Liquor Store in James Bay. Large brown frothy head with an opaque body. Nose of nutty malt and tonic water. Flavour is thin and metallic, some roastiness but overall lacking complexity. Below average.

Bottle, shared with my wife. Dark brown with a frothy light brown head. Malty aroma, roasty and bready, Chocolate liqueur. Roasty malt and fudgey chocolate palate, nice and full-bodied for a lower ABV stout. Very good.

gnoff (7663) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - AUG 26, 2013
Draught at Beer DeLuxe, Melbourne, on July 30, 2013.
I’m guessing it was the 2012, it stated 4.9% ABV anyhow.
$10 for a small pour, not cheap.
Black color with hints of dark brown, brown head. Cocoa, chocolate, smooth, a bit sweet taste. Chocolate, cocoa aftertaste. Medium to smooth mouthfeel, medium dry bitterness. Dark chocolate scent.
