Craftsman is our Chocolate oatmeal stout. To brew it we add a proportion of organic oatmeal to the mash for a velvety smooth mouthfeel. and plenty of dark roasted coca nibs to the mash, boil and fermentor. The result is a rich, intense stout with notes of dark chocolate that gradually gives way to a subtle hop finish. With malt, coffee and chocolate flavours, Craftsman pairs well with any dessert, or match it with hearty fare such as venison and beef

500 ml bottle, back label says 5.6% ABV. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours dark brown/black. The head was huge, as the brew foamed up like crazy when I tried to pour it into the glass. So after letting it settle and after multiple small pours, I was able to get a mostly full glass to drink after a few minutes. The brew smells like roasted malt, milk and bittersweet chocolate, vanilla, oats and a bit of coffee. Taste is pretty much the same as the aroma, althought I think the chocolate flavor leans more towards sweet milk chocolate. Thereís also a bit of charred/burnt malt noticeable. Mouthfeel/body is medium, itís slick and creamy, and also has high but soft carbonation. I think itís a good overall brew, I just would like for the carbonation to be lower. But other than that, I liked it a lot.

Shared by argo0. Thanks man! The beer is dark chestnut brown with a tall mocha head. The aroma offers chocolate, vanilla, subtle coffee. Smells nice. The flavor is smooth and easy drinking. Light sweetness throughout, maybe some hazelnuts. Sweet chocolates and roasted malt. Fairly low carbonation. Overall, this was solid.

Bottle [500 ml]. Pours a very dark amber-brown, almost black, with an average size fluffy light-brown head. Aroma of dark chocolate, light coffee, roasted malt and a hint of vanilla. Nice Mocha flavour along with light roasted malt. Light roasty bitter finish. Average bodies. Looks like some Ontario folk got infected bottles, I am happy to report that that is not the case for me and that this was a nice, enjoyable beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a dark brown, with a huge brown head. Aroma: Massive chocolate and coffee notes, some hints of molasses, roasted nuts. Palate: medium bodied, creamy. not much of a finish. Taste: sweet. A very straight forward beer. You get coffee, some chocolate, some molasses. Itís not bad, thatís just all you get.

50cl bottle; Pours a mostly opaque dark mahogany with a stringy lacing beige head. Has a sweet toasty dark caramel malty nose with a touch of coffee. Starts with good fullness and dark malty sweetness with a good amount of dark chocolate before a drier bittersweet finish. True to style and enjoyable.
