Such a lovely orange colour, but hazy and the head was fleeting. Points for aroma as it is resiny (as it says on the label), citrusy and gives a pointer toward the intriguing. There’s something about smelling this beer that invites you to try it.. Subtler aromas of stewed apricots, almonds and chaffy grain beneath the thresher’s flail. It leans this drinker toward poetry. Overt hoppiness is the predominant first flavor. Lime leaf, lemon juice, pine resin and cut herbs. The malts are a little more restrained but there’s a definite nuttiness. Thoroughly enjoyable. I couldn’t wish for a better afternoon than this, the crossword and a piece of aged cheddar and crackers.

Highish carbonation, dry and light mouthfeel. Flavour has piney hops notes, light grassy, mild resiny. Lovely crispy malt base. Good, lingering herbal bitter note.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours a clear orange-amber with a small white head. Aroma is a little subdued but ripe fruits, citrus and hops come out reluctently. Quite an easy drinnking pale. Not a heap there but what is there is pleasant enough. Hops, citrus, a little grass. Solid

Pours amber with a large lasting head. Lots of juicy fruity hops on the nose, mostly lighter fruits like apples, grapes, pears and grapefruit. Underneath is loads of sweet malt with honey and toasty characters. Malt dominates the flavours as well with toasty overtones. The hops here are straight resin and a little grapefruit. Unfortunately there’s a slight metallic character in the short finish. Carbonation is way too high, only exacerbating the very dry finish. Watery body.
