3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Started 2 open(loud hiss, "smoke" under cap, then foamís up & down the bottle it goís) then I get rest of cap off. Big head, disaperís shortly after. Smell: Blueberry, plum, pumpkin pie. Taste: Blueberry/plum/spices & pie crust. Also malty. Reminds me of a higher % Belgium beer. Heavy bodied. Good not great, but there is amazing beerís out there from this brewery & otherís in New Zealand.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours ruddy amber with a transient beige head. Aroma is rather strong pie spice; cinnamon, ginger, cloves, allspice and nutmeg - one or more is strong. Full bodied or nearly. Flavor is clove/nutmeg among other things. Sort of roasty brown malt. Quite smooth. Somehow itís not as wow as many, but much more so than many others. Finishes less than dry with a little bitter, but more spice.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
If they were going for pumpkin pie, they nailed it. Some subtle pumpkin notes, envelopped in a pile of spices. Loads of cinnamon, cloves, cardamon, iím ever getting quite a bit of ginger. The finish was a touch of roasty malts, with a huge spicy finish. The spices get to be a little much near the end, but otherwise a nice beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This pours with a frothy head and a very dark amber colour. Cloves are the strongest component of the aroma, while the taste is a full-bodied combination of spices and pumpkin with a definite hint of bitterness in the finish. Itís lightly hopped with caramelized malt and all of these elements combine to produce a somewhat complex and largely pleasing autumn beer with a 7.2-per cent alcohol kick.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Visual: Attractively designed label. Pours beer bottle brown with a massive lasting foamy head, thick layer of retention, thick clusters of fast streams.
Nose: sour, almost metallic caramelized malts, hint of orange oil citrus, mildly roasted pumpkin. (6)-aromatic strength.
Attack: creamy/fizzy mouthfeel, malty (7)-sweetness
Mid-palate: (MAIN) brown sugar malts, pumpkin, root beer, ginger dryness (HINTS) nutmeg, almost salty (off-putting) texture
Finish: lingering molasses, malty burnt bitter finish.
Summary: The CO2, visual, and bottling are nice, but what I donít like is burnt, saltiness in the mids. Perhaps its the roasting or off-balance of the spices that make it leave a lingering bad taste in the mouth. (Note: all numbers above are on a 10-point scale, with 1 being weak and 10 being the strongest)

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Poured from 500mL bottle. Clear copper colour with foamy beige head. Burnt sugar and malt with mild pumpkin and spice aroma. Same flavour. The burnt taste didnít really sit well with me - stood out a little too much and didnít blend. Light body.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
[Bottle (500ml).] Pours all foam, frothy beige foam. Settles eventually into a cloudy dark orange-copper. Mild aroma of pumpkin, light spices, sweet malt, cream and light hops. Flavour has a bit of what I describe as "bottle", which along with the foaming leads me to believe that this bottle may not be fresh, though I just got it. After that there's sweet malt, pumpkin, light spices, vegetal notes and a light bitter finish. Average to medium bodied. Pretty good, fresh would be better.
