4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Iím not sure I can nail down any particular taste as an individual taste, this is going quietly about being a good beer, and being very good about it.
I would have enjoyed more head, and some lacing in the glass if I was being picky. But this shouldnít put you off.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from the LCBO. Dark ruby body with a creamy off-white head. Aroma is fairly sweet with a nice spiced gingerbread note, a bit of cooked apple and baked pumpkin, subtle hops. Flavour has more of a fruity character than expected, with some dark plum and blackberry notes up front, before some spices (clove, cinnamon, ginger) start to come through. The pumpkin seems to be hiding at first, but as the beer warms up, it makes itself known. The finish is moderately dry, with a slightly metallic hop character. All in all, this beer is a bit of a headscratcher - but in the end, I kinda liked it.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
The head is good, the body dark brown and cloudy. It smells a bit alcoholic, fruity-strange, dry, strange. The taste is fruity in a strange way, creamy, intensive fermented darkfruits+punkin. The first Renaissance beer of more then 10 that I donít like.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle to pint glass
Thereís a lot of spices on the nose which overpower any pumpkin aroma. I guess thereís a gourd or melon aroma, but it isnít distinct. Primary aromas are clove, cinnamon, all spice, mace, and nutmeg and a bit of sweetness. Itís appearance is a deep dark amber with a thin (2 mm) mottled tan light tan head. Primary taste is ginger and cloves, with some mace and pumpkin. This isnít a pumpkin pie or pumpkin beer in my opinion, just a spicy ale.

Sample from 50 cl. bottle. Clear, amber colour with a small, off-white head. Sweet aroma with spices - cinnamon, very Christmas... fruits, pumpkin and caramel malts. Taste is sweet. Medium body, creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes sweet, spicy with rich malts. Very nice spiced-up beer.
