OJB (22), Dunedin, New Zealand May 4, 2007 Slightly cloudy, pale amber yellow orange colour, with a light creamy head. The aroma had strong crisp citrus lemon and orange. The taste was smooth with citrus orange nuttiness and malt. There was a very crisp hoppy bitter finish. This was an intensly flavoured with strong bitter hops.
greig (70), Hamilton, New Zealand Aug 17, 2007 On tap at the Twisted Hop in Christchurch. An incredible and unique aroma. Possibly the sharpest hop aroma I’ve smelled in a beer. A good solid IPA, though perhaps a little harsh on the palate. I like it, though others might not, due to the intense bitterness and hop profile. Good, just a little lacking in subtlety. bozoNZ (370), Christchurch, New Zealand Jan 22, 2007 On tap 21/01/07 at Black Creek Cafe next to brewery. Tan/gold colour, nice full even head. Huge floral nose. Full bodied palate, warm big hops. Very complex flavors given the robust nature - toffees a bit of char too. Long finish, I liked it.
