A revamp of our original Paradox - which was a Blonde Ale - we have made some tweaks to the yeast of fermentation to bring you the new, improved, Paradox.

As soon as you flip the top off the bottle you know you’re in for something special. While the bright golden hue hints at a great quaffing beer, the explosion of passionfruit and citrus aromas - the signature of the Riwaka hop variety - leave you in no doubt you’re in for more than mere refreshment. On the palate the initial biscuity malt sweetness is soon joined by those zingy hop notes. This beer is flavour-packed, yet crisp and thirst quenching - that’s the paradox! When your thirst is finally slaked, try another glass withthe best seafood dish on the menu. Yum!

Nice clear golden, foam is nice but disappears quickly. Aroma is soft, malt biscuits and some sour notes. Herbal hops. Taste reveals quite hopped up pilsner, feels more like a hoppy pale ale actually. Drinks easy and is quite refreshing.

330ml Bottle Grassy phenolic aroma. Poured cloudy straw with good head. Mild bitterness with grainy finish and a touch of wet cardboard. So so.

Bottle from Yamaya. Clear blond with fluffy even head. Citrusy nose, some passionfruit and dusty malts. Quite zingy and even spicy. Went down a treat with a Thai green curry. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: MAR 30, 2016 330ml bottle from Costco. Pours clear gold with a low white head. Great aroma of citrus, passionfruit, light biscuity malt. The malt is represented well in the flavour and balanced well with fruity hop. The feel is light and crisp with a nice spice. Really refreshing.

Bottle from Yamaya. Lemony nose, nicely hopped in a very new world way. Deep golden, clear, low head. Decent hop flavor, some biscuity malt sweetness. Body is rather full and a bit oily. Decent, though comes across more like a golden ale than a true pilsner.

Medium golden color. Frothy white head. Straw, hay, honey and mangoes in the nose. The mouth lacks a bit of body, but generally refreshing and fruity. Lots of mangoes. Nice crisp bitter finish. Decent stuff.

Bottle from Yamaya. Pale gold with a fine white head. A hint of tropical fruit, but mostly grassy hops. Very light beer with a slightly dry finish.

Bottle. Bronze and a bit lively upon opening. Pleasant slightly spicy and nutty flavour. A lot of body considering its relatively low strength. Lots of distinctive flavours floating around. Well worth trying.
