COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A revamp of our original Paradox - which was a Blonde Ale - we have made some tweaks to the yeast of fermentation to bring you the new, improved, Paradox.

As soon as you flip the top off the bottle you know you’re in for something special. While the bright golden hue hints at a great quaffing beer, the explosion of passionfruit and citrus aromas - the signature of the Riwaka hop variety - leave you in no doubt you’re in for more than mere refreshment. On the palate the initial biscuity malt sweetness is soon joined by those zingy hop notes. This beer is flavour-packed, yet crisp and thirst quenching - that’s the paradox! When your thirst is finally slaked, try another glass withthe best seafood dish on the menu. Yum!

Great pilsner, with a definite hop edge over most. Very clean and refreshing, a great Pilsner

Tasted on tap at Fine Wine Delivery Co. Clear, golden colour. Not much of a head but it did last the duration in glass. Quite a yeasty nose, with lovely citrus aromas coming through, very barnyard rustic feel. Wonderfully smooth with a lasting finish, the flavours seem to intensify on the palate until it disappears, leaving you grasping for another mouthful. Very well structured and balanced. A great beer for those looking to begin the journey away from mass produced lagers.

Poured fresh on tap from Fine Wine Delivery Co. Pours a lovely translucent golden colour. On the nose is interesting as it is quite fruity, very different from any other pilsner I have tried. The taste was nice and crisp, with hints of passionfruit and citrus fruits, which finished nice and clean. I’m not usually one to drink pilsner, but this was one heck of a drop. Very sessionable as well with an ABV of 4%

Pours a hazy gold with lasting white head. Excellent hop aroma. Almost like it should be a pale ale. Label says passionfruit and citrus, but I get more of a herbal quality. Flavor is very light with a sharp bitterness more typical of a pilsner, but with more malt complexity. A paradox this is. A delicious, innovative, paradox.

Paradox Pilsner bottle. It pours a deep gold with a big soapy head of foam and a bready malt aroma, lemony hop notes and an earthy pine bark-ish hop character. The beer is light bodied with some crackery malts and that pine bark bitterness I don’t terribly care if it’s for. OK.

Keg at Taps, Kl. It pours golden-amber with medium white head. The nose is bitter-sweet, grassy, light tropical fruits and dough. The taste is crisp, bitter, grassy, citrus peel, light soap, toasted grain, dough and a touch of pepper with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. Balanced, crisp and crushable. Very nice pils.

bottle at mondial 2014, mtl. pours hazy if not cloudy pale yellow with a small bubbly white head, some retention and lacing - some particles. pils and lightly spicy grainy cereals, husks, lemon, herbal-grassiness. average carbonation - slightly foamy, light body - slightly watery, dry clean herbal-citrusy finish. malt-lacking - slightly above average pils.
