OJB (22), Dunedin, New Zealand Sep 25, 2007 There was a quite deep reddish brown colour, and a moderate creamy head. The aroma had strong malt and crisp hops. The taste had caramel malt, chocolate, intense roasted flavours and a long hoppy finish. This beer had quite complex strong flavours, and had medium body.

Mild bitter, liqourice, light smoke and caramel sweet malty base flavour. Bitter and dry finish with a light liqourice lingering finish. Small tan head. Sweet flavour, very roasted, a bit rough. Good pepepry finish. Chrism86 (89), Melbourne, Australia Aug 29, 2008 Pours dark ruby tending to auburn with a rather small tan coloured head. Aromas are dominated by sweet caramel/toffee and liquered raisins. Palate pretty much mirrors the nose. Abundance of caramel malt and higher abv bring about big malty sweetness with a long and rich finish. sunevdj (1472), Copenhagen OE, Denmark Apr 8, 2008 Pours a hazy brown Medium off-white head with a littel lacings. Light sweetness with some bitterness. Quite malty with aromas of peated malts. and a hint of tar. Medium to full bodied. Soft carbonation. Peated finish. Good stuff.
