Commercial Description:
Available at the Black Creek Restaurant in Blenheim 1 Dodson st. which is also home to our brewery. This beer will be available in bottle soon. This amazing modern Scotch ale has won awards in New Zealand and Australia. We are very proud of the full bodied complexity and surprising stealth this beer characterises. This one slips down so easily you almost can’t detect the 7%.

There was a quite deep reddish brown colour, and a moderate creamy head. The aroma had strong malt and crisp hops. The taste had caramel malt, chocolate, intense roasted flavours and a long hoppy finish. This beer had quite complex strong flavours, and had medium body.

Pours dark ruby tending to auburn with a rather small tan coloured head. Aromas are dominated by sweet caramel/toffee and liquered raisins. Palate pretty much mirrors the nose. Abundance of caramel malt and higher abv bring about big malty sweetness with a long and rich finish.
