A-- Poured a near bright red color. One finger to half a finger of light brownish orange head. Decent retention and for the most part stayed at a decent collar. A few spots of lacing on the sides of the glass. S-- Strawberry jam, spiced shortcake, toffee, raisin, and tones of chocolate nuts. Very English smelling. Very yummy. T-- Much like the smell but just a bit sweeter. Rich and full taste. Lots of toffee and bread with the above smells. M-- Somewhat thin in spots, more the front and mid palate. Rich and full in the back and finish. Spiced shortcake and bread mixed with dates and oranges in the finish. Much more full bodied and robust in the finish. Slight hop bitterness here and there in the feel. Quite sticky at times. Also quite young. Low carbonation and slick and slightly syrupy. O-- Good, good barley wine. A little thin here and there but this is still young. if given time this will be very good. holds the ABV very well and shows flashes of what it can be. Prefect candidate for a barrel treatment.

A good honest english style BW. Peach, apricot, toffee and candy floss on the nose. Good body, not too sticky. Same flavours on the tongue with a soft bitterness to finish. Very relaxing. Thanks Nate for this one.

A good Barley Wine that will surely improve with a bit of bottle age. The well balanced sweetness hides the massive alcohol well.

Bottled. A hazy dark amber beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, fruits, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of sugar, caramel, alcohol, and over ripe fruits, leading to a dry, alcoholic, and fruity finish.
