Fruity chocolate aroma. Beautifully rich pour. Dark chocolate followed by bitter fruit notes. Such a well balanced beer. Has a bit of sticky hop resin and a good balance of sweetness. Strong beer not to be taken lightly.

UPDATED: SEP 19, 2013 Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours clear brown with a small, firm beige head. Nose shows heavy caramel, light sticky fruits and a big hit of tropical and stone fruits. Big bitterness and slightly sticky sweet which works well. Taste is all about the sweet toffee up front finished by a lengthy bitterness of stone fruit. Very good stuff and damn hoppy. Enjoyable as they come

500mL bottle. Pours deep dark brown with an off white head and a wonderful sweet toffee/caramel/candy fruity aroma, wow. The flavour is incredible, a sweet caramel grapefruit with a balanced bitterness.. just incredible. This is what craft beer is all about.

Pours coppery brown with a fading head. Very sweet smelling aroma of tropical hops and heavy caramel. Also some brown sugar and fruity confectionery. Some of the sweetness transfers through as a flavour with more fruit confectionery before some soft roasted malt and a bold, sharp bitterness rolls through. A thicker body would be good.

This was a really well crafted beer. I liked the balanced they achieved with the hopping of the base brown ale. Really nice flavours and just a delight on a cold winters day.

A rich chewy, sticky nuttiness with some toastedness and spiciness is the star of the show here. The hops are here to put the eyebrows on that picture. I finished the beer 5 minutes ago and now I can feel my lips sticking together - in a good way - it makes me feel like a dose of strong cheddar. Lip-stickiness is gonna be my new standard by which to measure a brown ale.
