4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Draft at source. Pale golden pour. Heavy aroma of pine, garlic, onion, and to a lesser extent some mango/fruit. Some sweet, biscuity malt. Full flavor that follows suit with initial malt sweetness that gives way to pungent pine/onion/garlic. Full, juicy, and flavorful. Reminds me a bit of Founders Double Trouble. Excellent, excellent brew.

This thing is dank. I don't use the word dank, either. Renegade is by W 6th, which is dispensary central. Very fitting. I love G'Knight, this is like it on steroids.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap at the brewery May 11th, although I usually have a taster of this whenever I’m at the brewery. Pours gold. Aroma of grassy & floral hops. Medium carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of floral and grassy hops, pink grapefruit, bold malts, light spice. Overall very rich, tasty and easy to drink relative to the ABV.

Snifter at the brewery. This guy is pretty malty, but definitely not too much so. The sweetness provides a little balance and takes away a little of the bite, but doesn’t interfere with the rich hop aroma and flavor. The aroma has plenty of piney, garlicky character with a grapefruit backdrop. This translates well into the flavor. Plenty of clear, crisp hop bouquet. It has a sharp, dank herbal finish. Lots of lingering garlic and evergreen. Really clean, well made and "balanced".

Draft at the Publik House. Pours a hazy orange color with no head. Strong, grapefruit aroma with a ton of hops. Amazing brew.

UPDATED: JAN 18, 2013 Poured a hazy, golden orange with a one-finger, fluffy white head an great lacing. Smell is huge pine, grass, resin, and weed. Just smells super dank. Taste is super piney, grassy, and dank; big notes of resin, grapefruit, and biscuit with a huge bitter finish and light alcoholic burn. Not too bad though as this beer is thoroughly enjoyable for 11%+ ABV. Stick mouthfeel with high carbonation. Literally tastes like weed in a liquid form; damn tasty DIPA.

On tap at Renegade. I mostly ordered this just to see how it stacks up to Alpine Exponential Hoppiness even though I knew it wouldn’t hold a candle. I must say that while Alpine has nothing to worry about this was surprisingly good. I thought I was tasting Columbus hops and was surprised to learn it was Summit which I normally find disgusting. This was extremely hoppy and thick so I was glad I only had a 3oz taster. Still, worthwhile and recommended for all hopheads.

Beautiful triple IPA. Great head. Pours like honey. Tastes tart and summery. Almost like a wheat, but packing 2 times the flavor. Hints of lemon and clove.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
My favorite from a full flight at the brewery. Lots of resin on the nose, not a lot of floral or citrus. Very well balanced and dangerously drinkable at 11.2%. Full bodied with solid malt to pull the hops off.

8/18/12 notes: Draft, brewery. A risky but ultimately successful take on this over-the-top Triple IPA. A smack of fresh hops greets with notes of lemongrass herb, cut grass, citrus pith. Body is full, chewy, with a surprisingly nimble finish for all that weight. Flavor is waves of fresh hops (Chinook blend, perhaps?), supported by boozy warmth. Really solid for a style that always flirts with the overwhelming, and calls to memory similar heavyweights such as Hopsickle and White Knuckle.
