4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Deep mahogany in color, good tan head, great lacing. Thick collar. Aroma is heavy on the coffee, some molasses and earthiness. Taste is also heavy on the coffee, and woody. Medium body and medium carbonation. Good beer, especially if you are feeling a good coffee forward beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sample at the taproom. Clear reddish-bronze color with a medium off-white head that recedes gradually. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of coffee, malt and caramel. Medium-bodied with flavors of roasted coffee, caramel malt and earthy hops. The finish is roasty with a coffee aftertaste. Decent overall.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear brilliant copper with a thin and lasting white cap. Nose is sweet and musty with a light bit of cranberry and bright morning coffee. A little herbal flavor in there among the sticky semi boozy malts. Not shabby.

On tap at Barrels & Bottles. Copper and clear with a lingering white head. Strong coffee and espresso aroma with light chocolate and light roasted malts. Similar flavor, with toffee and bread, the alcohol is hidden. Medium body with a smooth finish. Nicely done.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the brewery. Pour is clear orange-amber with a decent sized head and great lacing. Big coffee, earthy, toffee, slightly grassy, doughy, bready, and sweet yeasty aroma. Taste is bready, doughy, grassy hops, medium coffee, floral, and honey with a medium bitter aftertaste. Slick mouthfeel with medium-to-soft carbonation. Much better use of coffee than the original and much better balanced.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Tap at the brewery - hazy orange - oily.texture in the mouth - flavor is very sweet, toffee - lots of diacetyl and dms (boiled cabbage) in the flavor - hot finish - pretty messy - they’ve been struggling with high abv beers lately.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
10 oz. pour at Renegade Publik House. This is a stark, rich red with a white head. Good coffee presence in the nose, but not as apparent to me as the regular Sunday Morning. More obvious here is the malty body, giving it a bready sweet character. The palate is full with an even dose of toasty malts and faint fruity hints. The coffee is there and it’s natural, but I really want more.
