On tap at brewery. Dark brown. Aroma of sweet figs and what seems like a little bit of funk. A little weak through the body and maybe lacking a little carbonation. Still isn’t bad.

On tap at brewery. Pour is hazy copper with a frothy white head and great lacing. Toffee, caramel, bread, dark fruits, a touch of roast, and spice in the aroma. Taste is caramel, biscuit, somewhat fruity, banana, spice, grass, and licorice with a lightly spicy finish. Medium mouthfeel with soft soft carbonation. I really dig this one.

On tap at Renegade poured a clody brown with a small lingering tan head. Aromas of carmel, spice and light fruittiness. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, spice and a hint of fruittiness with a smooth lingering carmel finish.

Tap at Renegade - turbid rust color - nose is medium sweet, orange marmalade, dusty yeast, light esters, cane sugar - low carbonation, medium body - flavor is much drier than expected - not as sweet and malt forward as many dubbels I have had - moderate dusty and earthy phenols, some dry, toasty grains, mild tartness - moderate spiciness on the tail end, followed by some muddled esters and sweetness - lots of earthy, almost funky/barnyard character as it warms makes things a bit more interesting - it’s a bit muted, perhaps from all the yeast, but has some nice things happening.
