Pours golden with a creamy white head. Aroma is straw and a bit of malt. Taste is tangy rye and mild hops with a touch of lemon. Weird taste, drain pour.

Pours a cloudy golden yellow from the can with thin white ring of lacy head that sticks very lightly. Aroma is hops, I think its magnum and fuggles, and then a hint of rye on the back end. Taste is slightly bitter, fresh hop, a little astringent from the rye. Not too bad, but nothing I really want to seek out again.

16 oz. can. Shared wit Gabe. Pours a medium, well retained off white head, over a slightly hazy gold (SRM 5) body......nose is toffee/caramel, pine, light citrus, grain....taste is toffee/caramel, rye spice, pine, light grapefruit, finishing with a lingering hop bitterness....mouth feel medium, slight astringency, carbonation adds acid bite. This is a nicely balanced, fairly typical IPA. BJCP 7/3/15/4/7

Slightly opaque gold, not much head. Lingering back of the mouth bitterness with nice but not over the top rye qualities ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

8/18/12 notes: Draft, brewery. Pour is murky-but-vibrant gold with a small white head. Aroma is a zippy blast of cut flowers and citrus. Body is creamy, in total support of the flavorful blend of hop teas, and a doughy, angular malt bill. Bitterness on the tail end completes the experience. Iím sure this is really at its peak when fresh from the brewery. 3.7.

On tap at brewery. Pours amber. Nice sweet aroma. Itís not quite overly bitter and the rye really sticks out well on the back end. This is quite enjoyable and a great start for the brewery.

Tap. Pours clear gold with average, fizzy white head; good retention and spare lacing. Aroma is rye, grassy hops, rice, spice, biscuit malt, and floral hops. Flavor is straw malt, grassy and floral hops, light fruit esters, and faint honey; dry finish. Medium body and low carbonation.

16oz can ~$2.75. Not sure why I bought this since it was really overpriced at $11 for a four pack, maybe I was just itching for something new. The very first aroma that hit me when I opened the can was plastic, ugh. Color is bright hazy orange, good head and lacing. The plastic faded from the aroma once I poured it into a glass and became a bit of piney hops and a maltiness. Taste unfortunately has that plastic note, maybe its the rye? Not sure because Iíve had plenty of rye beers and never caught this plastic note before. Its really too bad because I can taste a good malt/hop combo hiding behind the rubber/plastic. Iím going to revisit this review if any of the other three cans are better but as it stands I wonít be buying anymore Renegade beers. edit: noticed a big flocculated chunk of white yeast (I hope) stuck to side of my glass, ugh. Maybe thatís the source of the plastic? Serving type: can Reviewed on: 07-07-2012 03:19:05

Pours a hazy, dark amber with a sticky head out of a 16 oz superior package. Light citrus on the nose, mostly sweet grapefruit, backed up with a healthy dose of diacetyl. Flavor has more citrus hop character, but I canít get past the Wertherís butterscotch. Iíll try it again another time, hopefully a different batch.
