2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a hazy, dark amber with a sticky head out of a 16 oz superior package. Light citrus on the nose, mostly sweet grapefruit, backed up with a healthy dose of diacetyl. Flavor has more citrus hop character, but I canít get past the Wertherís butterscotch. Iíll try it again another time, hopefully a different batch.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
16 oz can. Pours slightly hazy golden orange with a thin white head that quickly goes to a thin collar that leaves a little lacing.
The aroma is some spicy rye with tropical fruit and floral hops.
The flavor is sweet grainy caramel/toffee malt with some spicy rye and light tropical fruits. The finish is grassy, slightly soapy, hops that have good bitterness. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and with a big watery feel that washes things out.
Overall, an OK rye IPA - too watery though.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
16 oz can purchased at Joy in Denver, Colorado. The pour is a hazed copper golden with a small white head. The aroma is spice rye, paired nicely with caramel malt, followed by a lighter floral hoppiness. The taste is the spice of the rye with the malt primarily, the floral (additional spice) hops under that. The palate is medium bodied with a lower carbonation level and black pepper and spice rye in the finish.

64 ounce growler thanks to Armin. Nice orange pour. Good foamy head. Caramel. Bitter. Not in your face hops, but well done and balanced. Very tasty and even at 7% feels very drinkable and sessionable.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: APR 11, 2015 Solid straightforward IPA that gets rounded out by earthy, rustic rye notes. Took a growler of this home. Nice go-to if they decide to bottle it. One of the better rye IPAs Iíve had.
>>>lowering the ratings on this from a 3.8. Donít know whatís up...havenít had this beer in a while. New 12 oz. can down from the tallboy. Dank, dank, dank. Chasing the Colorado weed crowd? Hopping has totally changed to a one-dimensional dank bomb from a rye spice, citrus hop, well rounded beer.
