Pour on tap is clear orange with nice white head, aroma brings notes of big pine, caramel, orange and citrus notes with a nice spicy rye presence. Taste is a nice mix of pine and spicy hops, touch of orange and grapefruit, hints of rye spice but not really very present, touch of biscuit and caramel finishes fairly bitter. Nice stuff, like it!

16 oz can purchased at Joy in Denver, Colorado. The pour is a hazed copper golden with a small white head. The aroma is spice rye, paired nicely with caramel malt, followed by a lighter floral hoppiness. The taste is the spice of the rye with the malt primarily, the floral (additional spice) hops under that. The palate is medium bodied with a lower carbonation level and black pepper and spice rye in the finish.

16 oz can. Pours slightly hazy golden orange with a thin white head that quickly goes to a thin collar that leaves a little lacing.

The aroma is some spicy rye with tropical fruit and floral hops.

The flavor is sweet grainy caramel/toffee malt with some spicy rye and light tropical fruits. The finish is grassy, slightly soapy, hops that have good bitterness. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and with a big watery feel that washes things out.

Overall, an OK rye IPA - too watery though.

Poured from tap at the brewery, with a small off-white head. It’s golden amber with a slight citrus aroma. Nicely balanced and the rye comes through at the end. A solid IPA that I would definitely drink again.

64 ounce growler thanks to Armin. Nice orange pour. Good foamy head. Caramel. Bitter. Not in your face hops, but well done and balanced. Very tasty and even at 7% feels very drinkable and sessionable.

UPDATED: APR 11, 2015 Solid straightforward IPA that gets rounded out by earthy, rustic rye notes. Took a growler of this home. Nice go-to if they decide to bottle it. One of the better rye IPAs I’ve had. >>>lowering the ratings on this from a 3.8. Don’t know what’s up...haven’t had this beer in a while. New 12 oz. can down from the tallboy. Dank, dank, dank. Chasing the Colorado weed crowd? Hopping has totally changed to a one-dimensional dank bomb from a rye spice, citrus hop, well rounded beer.

(Draught) Pours a lightly hazy orange body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of grass, earth, rye, and mustiness. Flavor of orange, grass, rye, caramel, and pine with a dry finish.
