16 oz can purchased at Joy in Denver, Colorado. The pour is a hazed copper golden with a small white head. The aroma is spice rye, paired nicely with caramel malt, followed by a lighter floral hoppiness. The taste is the spice of the rye with the malt primarily, the floral (additional spice) hops under that. The palate is medium bodied with a lower carbonation level and black pepper and spice rye in the finish.

UPDATED: AUG 12, 2012 Refreshing thirst quencher on a record high temp day! Balance of hops and spice in the aroma. Medium bodied, easy drinking one to come back to again and again......

64 ounce growler thanks to Armin. Nice orange pour. Good foamy head. Caramel. Bitter. Not in your face hops, but well done and balanced. Very tasty and even at 7% feels very drinkable and sessionable.

UPDATED: APR 11, 2015 Solid straightforward IPA that gets rounded out by earthy, rustic rye notes. Took a growler of this home. Nice go-to if they decide to bottle it. One of the better rye IPAs Iíve had. >>>lowering the ratings on this from a 3.8. Donít know whatís up...havenít had this beer in a while. New 12 oz. can down from the tallboy. Dank, dank, dank. Chasing the Colorado weed crowd? Hopping has totally changed to a one-dimensional dank bomb from a rye spice, citrus hop, well rounded beer.

Poured from tap at the brewery, with a small off-white head. Itís golden amber with a slight citrus aroma. Nicely balanced and the rye comes through at the end. A solid IPA that I would definitely drink again.

Pour on tap is clear orange with nice white head, aroma brings notes of big pine, caramel, orange and citrus notes with a nice spicy rye presence. Taste is a nice mix of pine and spicy hops, touch of orange and grapefruit, hints of rye spice but not really very present, touch of biscuit and caramel finishes fairly bitter. Nice stuff, like it!

draft @ kitchen next door, boulder. light filtering gives it a shimmering copper colored body. high alpha acid american hop nose (dried grass, orange oil, pine resin, grapefruit) with touches of caramel / vanilla / rye from the grains. medium body, surprisingly tight malt structure and carbonation, firm toastiness with a resinous pine and mildly spiced rye character. clean for the most part. well-done. iím actually impressed by this new startup, theyíre putting out flavorful, well-made beers right off the bat.
