Lots of white foam and a misty appearance. Nice dark gold color. Smells very hoppy and rich without any compromise. Strong taste of hops and strong bitter aftertaste. Great refreshing beer on a hot summer day.

750 ml. bottle. Purchased @ De Hopduvel. Bottled on 08.11.2014. Cork just popped out right as soon as I loosened the cage. I got a glass of collapsing egg-white head. The head just kept rising out of the bottle. Clear golden, huge collapsing egg-white head. Nose is mild sweetish bread, dough, lightly floral, hay, still getting light floral hops, light yeast, citrus, faint Sulphur-like note,… Taste is mineral, odd big Sulphur taste, odd sweetish chemical lab dough, more Sulphur, big weeds, odd floral, barn, hay, light bitter hay, oddly mineral, rocks, odd light silk tofu note, some sweetish plastic, faint cava-like note,… Big mineral, rocks, weeds & Sulphur bitterness in the finish,… Very big, somewhat Champagne-like carbonation,… Odd beer, a bit hard & easy to drink at the same time. Somewhat fascinating, I had to grow a bit accustomed to it. More saison-like than most saison beers I see coming out these days. Interesting but not entirely pleasant. Not everything needs to be good, interesting is just as good for me.

I was expecting a gusher after the exploding oud bruin, but this one seems to be OK in that aspect. Builds up an enormous foam though ! The beer itself shows a clear blonde. Smell is dry, bitter, hay - saison like almost - Foa; has dissapeared by now. Taste is mildly sweet. Clear yeast-profile, this time more abbey-yeast like, but with a touch of difference to it, more dry , and again that hay-note. Bitter, yes, but not much hop-flavor. Nicely done beer, but not outstanding for me.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus, Joes, Martinus, Ansjelaah and Judyvv. Slightly unclear yellow - golden color, full sized foamy white head. Smell and taste malts, quite bitter, slightly a hint of yeast, a hint of fruitpeel bitter. Decent body and carbonation. Alright as a Belgian blond but nothing special.

Butelka 75cl. Sporo ziół i cierpkich cytrusów. Do tego miód, kwiaty i twaróg. USTA : mocno nasycone, miękkie i aksamitne o konsystencji powiedzmy herbaty. Piwo jest wytrawne o sporej goryczy. Gorycz jest ziołowa i podobna do skórki limonki. Goryczka jest ciekawie podkreślona nutami podobnymi do skóry lekko przypalonego chleba. Posmak jest cierpki i cytrusowy i dochodzi, o dziwo delikatnie słodycz podobna do trawy jęczmiennej. ODCZUCIA : fajne i orzeźwiające piwo. Wciąż świetnie zrównoważone. Trochę śmieszą mnie belgijskie browary kiedy dodadzą troszeczkę więcej chmielu to nazywają to piwo IPA ....

Gut! 11/11/11/11/8//11
