Cervesa estil "imperial Stout". Molt de gust a torrat, acompanyat del amargor dels llùpols i de la cremor de l’alcohol. Una cervesa forta, una imatge forta i un nom fort. No apte per a cardíacs.

Pours very dark brown. Dense tan head. Very high intensity of aromas: plantain, espresso, cocoa, liquorice, tobacco, soy sauce, prunes. Mouth is silky, dense and thick. Taste is sheer bitter with a nice sweet touch. Aftertaste is coffee and ripe tomato. Excellent.

Black color beer with a thin dark brown disappering head. Aroma is roasted malt with chocolate and alcohol notes. Flavor is predominantly bitter with roasted malt reminders. Body is watery and carbonation is low. The end is sticky and sour.

Tasted 11/4/15 at La Colchoneria, Madrid, Spain. Poured an opaque black with no head and no lacing. Aroma of sweet dark caramel with hints of chocolate and coffee plus some yeast and too much alcohol. Taste of sweetness and roasted grain followed by a slight bitterness and lots of alcohol. Medium body. Smooth and sweet with a lingering sweetness, a lingering moderate bitterness and lingering alcohol. Good except for the very obvious presence of alcohol.

Deep black color with a very low head. Roasty aromas (chocolate and coffee) and resins and dry fruits. Balanced but not very complex. In mouth it is bit sweet at the beginning but it turns into bitter. Medium-low body does not compensate the bitterness. Alcohol is too important in mouth. Dry and quite long ending. Good aroma, unbalanced mouth

Black color, medium sized brownish head. Very nice nice aroma, roasted malt, vinous, a bit creamy. Smooth mouthfeel; soft roasted malts, with some vanilla and quite some liquorice; some leather too; correct bitterness. Just a bit too much liquorice for me, but very good.

Tap at The Jeffrey coming in from rain felt like a stout despite the heat. Pours dark brown with pretty head. Nose of dark malt and chocolate. Tastes of chocolate cake, licorice, malt, cherry and plum, and caramel. Not too sweet with alcohol warming. Nice sipper

In short: A rich mixture of molasses and soy sauce. Ok sipper.
How: Bottle at El Pedal, Madrid.
The look: Black body topped by a persistent small tan head.
In long: Nose is rich black malts with black liquorice, tar and molasses. In mouth the beer is full body with an appropriate smooth carbonation, thick velvety mouthfeel. Taste is cake malts, soy sauce, overcooked caramel, molasses, moderate herbal hops presence. A bit sticky in the after-taste even if there is a decent bitterness to balance the sweetness. This is a 8% Impy Stout that feels bigger than its size, feels like a 10% sipper, a pleasant sipper. I bet when this brewery make a kick-ass beer they call it a Reptile success, when they screw-up a batch they call it a Reptile dysfunction.
