4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Pours a light golden color with a little cloudiness and very little head. Smell is of pine, fruity and floral. Taste is much the same with a nice malt balance as well. This is a very drinkable Imperial IPA at 9.4%. Dangerously so.
I like it a lot. Dare I say itís close to Pliny? I think so.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap @ the brewery. Pours pale hazy golden orange with thin creamy head. Aroma is a bit of sweet caramel malt followed by big juicy hops with notes of mango and passionfruit. Taste is clean lightly syrupy malt with big bitter punchy hops on the finish. Notes of orange, lemon, and earthy pine in the hops. Clean, potent mouthfeel; lingers bitter on the finish. I continue to be impressed with how solid Reubenís is, as young as they are - and taking on some really challenging styles to get right.

It's hard for a DIPA to stand out ... And this one doesn't. Too resiny; too heavy. Sorta DFH120 light. B-

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap. Pours a clear copper body with a small wispy white head. The nose is a bit sweet with crystal and caramel malt. Moderate catty and citrusy hops. The flavor is moderately bitter, but a little too much crystal malt sweetness for my tastes in the style. Medium bodied, a little sticky and resiny hops on the finish. Overall, a bit of a run of the mill IIPA for me, and I really didnít care for all the sweetness in here. Not overly enjoyable for me.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle thanks to glkaiser! Bottling date 10/21/13. Pours hazy orange with a small off-white head, dissipates quickly with decent lacing. Aroma is citrus, passionfruit, cat piss, pine resin. Flavor is the same, light sweet and light bitter increasing to medium on the finish. Medium body, oily mouthfeel, kinda harsh, which detracts from an otherwise nice beverage.

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
The finest Washington IPA Iíve had. May be the only one that can rival the famed Southern California West Coast Style IPAís. Features an overwhelming citrus nose and crystal clear clarity. An extremely well balanced hop bomb.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
(draught at black bottle) cloudy medium copper, soapy offwhite bubbles. Nose is alcoholic, caramel but not really barley wine style, bit estery, candied citrus. Taste of light caramel, balanced bitterness, citrusy, candied citrus peel with no bitter citrus oils, nice medium body, oily slick palate finish, nice double ipa.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This is a great west coast IPA. tropical, just enough bitterness, beautiful burnt orange color. Nothing super defining about this beer, except it is just good! Pair with curried cauliflower and potatoes at Black Bottle in Seattle. Been dreaming about this place for years.
