On tap at Devils Craft, Tokyo. Pours a clear orange with an off-white head. Sweet and dry with lots of chinnook hops. Some notes of rye and hints so of sweetly core and alcohol. Dry finish.

Tap at Devil Craft. Nice rye weirdness, punchy fruiyiness, bit of citrus, nice bitterness, booze hidden. Good stuff

Not an over the top hop monster, but this really speaks up once it warms. THe rye is lovely about a third of the way through complementing a big american strong ale.

Pours darker, copper - but at the same time very clear. Foam is abundant at first but soon reduces into a thin layer. Aroma is surprising - its actually sweet, cleanly caramelised sugar. This is not reflecting in the taste though. The beer is dry, spicy and sharply hoppy. If thereís any sweetness then itís hidden under everything else. As it is proper for a West Coast beer, the hops are plentiful, dry pine resins. Not a fast beer to chug down, one to enjoy longer.

Sampled at ESBLS. It poured a clear amber color with a tan head. The aroma was of rye, pine, earthiness, grapefruit and tangerine. The taste was of rye, earthiness, pine, grapefruit and light spice with a crisp dry bitter lingering rye finish. Good stuff.

Sampled at esbls. Orange brown. Spft fruit aroma is nice. I taste citrus and wish the rye was more prominent. Spice.

Draft at Reubenís. Aroma: dank, pine, earthy, grapefruit; intoxicating. Taste: earthy, with deeply toasted rye, reasonably dry with a long lasting dank bitter finish. Palate: soft carbonation, full body but goes down easy and doesnít feel heavy or sluggish. This one would be hard to pound, but nice to savor. Can actually taste the rye contribution to this which I like.

On tap @ the brewery during 7/5/2014 Seattle beer tour. Pours a bit hazy copper appearance with an off white head. Aroma is quite spicy from both the rye and the hops. Some resiny hops. Lots of citrus. Pretty full bodied. The flavor has a lot of spicy rye, sap, and piney hops. High bitterness but balanced pretty well. A bit strong but still pretty tasty.
