COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Intense citrus and floral aroma followed by a smooth medium full mouth feel. Citrus leads the flavor profile, with rye spice and bitterness coming through in the finish.

Sampled at ESBLS. It poured a clear amber color with a tan head. The aroma was of rye, pine, earthiness, grapefruit and tangerine. The taste was of rye, earthiness, pine, grapefruit and light spice with a crisp dry bitter lingering rye finish. Good stuff.

Sampled at esbls. Orange brown. Spft fruit aroma is nice. I taste citrus and wish the rye was more prominent. Spice.

Draft at Reubenís. Aroma: dank, pine, earthy, grapefruit; intoxicating. Taste: earthy, with deeply toasted rye, reasonably dry with a long lasting dank bitter finish. Palate: soft carbonation, full body but goes down easy and doesnít feel heavy or sluggish. This one would be hard to pound, but nice to savor. Can actually taste the rye contribution to this which I like.

On tap @ the brewery during 7/5/2014 Seattle beer tour. Pours a bit hazy copper appearance with an off white head. Aroma is quite spicy from both the rye and the hops. Some resiny hops. Lots of citrus. Pretty full bodied. The flavor has a lot of spicy rye, sap, and piney hops. High bitterness but balanced pretty well. A bit strong but still pretty tasty.

Pours a hazy brownish amber color with a moderate off white head on it. Nose is very hop forward with some nice floral notes and a pleasant mix of the rye spiciness in there. Taste is actually quite bitter, yet remains really refreshing. Very nice drink.

On tap at the brewery. Milky copper pour with a white head. Citrusy hop aromas. Smooth and creamy with grapefruit & citrusy hop notes. Big caramel malt backbone. Good body and mouthfeel.

Draught at the brewery
Hazy light amber color. Both aroma and flavor have a fairly animal character, very similar to the Imperial IPA; but this beer is drier, and with the rye it helps to make it more drinkable. The hops are resiny too.
Good beer, more character than the regular IIPA, but this one too is not too easy to drink.

As a rye ipa, worked nicely. Intense flavour, but a sipper not an easy drinking beer. Fresh bottle at Bottleworks.

Creamy up front; effervescent in the middle; and dry and snappy in the finish. Malt flavors and hop flavors intertwine so wonderfully that itís difficult to tell where one begins and the other ends. Itís spicy, peppery, bready and crackery. Thereís even a subtle, yeasty earthiness in the background, adding to its depth. It finishes with a nip of bread crust and a healthy yet balanced bitterness. Fantastic.

Great grapefruit aroma. Flavor is borderline body odor. Yeah. Reubens is serving up at least 3 double IPAs and this pales, mostly because of the BO flavors.
