22oz bottle pours out a nice copper topped with a sand head. Aroma of citrus hops ccaramel sweetness and some rich malts. Taste is more of the citrus rye caramel and a grape fruit bitterness on the end.

Tap. Pours a clear dark gold with a minimal fizzy white head that fell to a thin ring. Interesting nose, lots of earthy rye notes but even more citrusy hops battling for supremacy. The flavor is more driven by the rye than the hops though, even with the fairly aggressive hop level. Very earthy tasting with a substantial caramel malt base, though thereís not much sweetness. Really well hidden alcohol for being 8.4%. Medium bodied, a bit clingy and sticky. Plenty of spicy rye in this one, but plenty of hops as well. Really nice effort.

Growler from the brewery served in a tulip glass. Pours bright orangish copper with thin white head. Aroma is sweet nutty caramel malt with floral piney hop notes. Taste is big sticky rye malt that pairs nicely with heavy hop presence - earthy, floral, citrus notes that finishes bitter. Rye flavor lingers on the finish. Nice balance between the boozy body and big flavors. Rye adds a cooll twist on the DIPA genre.

Bottle. Darkish golden color, moderate head, aroma of hops and malt, on the subtle side, but nice. Flavor is moderately bitter, with a noticeable malt presence and some rye to add complexity. Substantial on the palate. Finishes with a lingering bitterness. Solid and easy to drink but not standout for me.

Draught @ Brouwerís Cafť:   Coppery in color, thin to moderate foamy off-white head, nice lacing.   Soft and sweet citrus nose. Slight biscuity malts.   Very smooth on the tongue, hoppy but not biting. Citrusy and a
little biscuit.   Nice balance, not overly hopped, and enough malts to back up the bitterness.   Moderate to full body and mouthfeel.   Rye comes out on the finish.   Nice amount of bitterness lingers well after the
finish.   This was smooth and tasty!   One of the better local IIPAs out there.

Bomber from trade with michaelinwa. Pours a cloudy amber color with a small foamy head that quickly fades and leaves a little webbing. Aroma is huge citrus hops with lots of rye, some tropical fruit, and caramel. Taste has a nice sweetness up front and a moderate to strong bitterness in the finish. Fairly complex imperial IPA and its fruitier than the aroma suggests. Rye, oranges, grapefruit, tropical fruit, cherries, mangos, peaches plus some nice hints of caramel. Finish has a slightly odd floral/citrus taste and is a little dry for my liking. But I like the medium to thick body and juicy, syrupy mouthfeel. Very nice Imperial Rye IPA. This would be top notch if the finish was better.
