COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Intense citrus and floral aroma followed by a smooth medium full mouth feel. Citrus leads the flavor profile, with rye spice and bitterness coming through in the finish.

Creamy up front; effervescent in the middle; and dry and snappy in the finish. Malt flavors and hop flavors intertwine so wonderfully that itís difficult to tell where one begins and the other ends. Itís spicy, peppery, bready and crackery. Thereís even a subtle, yeasty earthiness in the background, adding to its depth. It finishes with a nip of bread crust and a healthy yet balanced bitterness. Fantastic.

Great grapefruit aroma. Flavor is borderline body odor. Yeah. Reubens is serving up at least 3 double IPAs and this pales, mostly because of the BO flavors.

Poured from a grenade filled at the brewery. Very excited to finally have a Reubenís Brew beer because they use rye in a lot of their brews and Iím a big fan of rye. Smells like generic spice mix, a little clove, nutmeg, chili and then alcohol. I nice bitter spicy brew. Cinnamon, clove, straight bitterness from the hops, some floral spicy qualities from the rye. I very nice, serviceable IPA. Maybe not up to the hype, but the technique is there, and the IPA is tasty, so drink up.

Draft at Reubenís brewpub in Ballard. I liked this one so much I bought the t-shirt. Rosy orange, creamy head. Tart, mildly skunky hops. Big pineapple citrus. Roasty grain finish. Dry. Super nice.

Tap at the brewery. Light orange. Citrus punch on the nose. Mellower flavor, lots of peppery, earthy rye. Great balance here - I really appreciate that they didnít load it up with stuff that overpowers the rye flavor. Very, very tasty.

Bottle. Clear amber color with ivory head. Soapy, musty, grainy malt grist aromas. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Grainy, bready, spicy rye malt flavors with some pine hoppage____lightly drying booze to finish---almost good

Bottle from a recent trade. Smooth and lot so rye spice. Pours a ruby red. Really nice looking. Good lacing. Sticky pine aroma and flavors. Finish is resiny pine finish. Apple and butterscotch. Pretty nice.

22oz bottle pours out a nice copper topped with a sand head. Aroma of citrus hops ccaramel sweetness and some rich malts. Taste is more of the citrus rye caramel and a grape fruit bitterness on the end.

Tap. Pours a clear dark gold with a minimal fizzy white head that fell to a thin ring. Interesting nose, lots of earthy rye notes but even more citrusy hops battling for supremacy. The flavor is more driven by the rye than the hops though, even with the fairly aggressive hop level. Very earthy tasting with a substantial caramel malt base, though thereís not much sweetness. Really well hidden alcohol for being 8.4%. Medium bodied, a bit clingy and sticky. Plenty of spicy rye in this one, but plenty of hops as well. Really nice effort.
