22 Oz bottle shared at Special Brews. Pours a dark amber color with a fizzy head. Flavor is nice. Very malty with some nutty flavor and a little rye, though I might just think the rye is there since I?m so used to it from these guys. Toasty flavor and a bit of caramel. Overall a good, tasty beer.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap. Pours a clear dark reddish amber body with a small fizzy white head that fell to a thin ring. The nose is toasty and dry malt with a bit of hops to balance. Dry and toasty malt flavors, light to moderate hop bitterness, finishes with some earthiness and lingering hops. Decent run-of-the-mill Red Ale, they did a good job minimizing the sweetness.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Reubenís brews, pours a cloudy, murky dark orangey amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of dry caramel malts, medium pronounced hoppiness, and some metallic overtones. Flavour of citrusy, floral hops, dry roasted caramel malts. Almost reminds me of a black IPA, due to the roast. Surprisingly excellent red ale Ė one of the best.
