3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught. Pours a hazy dark brown color with a moderate tan head on there. Nose has a lot of rye to it, with some grassiness coming through to make it a moderately hoppy beer. Taste is very bitter, with a lot of earthiness making it have a nice bite to it.

4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Serving: from bottle--purchased at PCC.
Aroma: light grain and malt.
Appearance: average-sized, rocky, off-white initial head with good lacing and mostly diminishing longevity. Clear, dark-amber body.
Taste: moderately bitter, roasty and chocolatey initial flavor and moderately sweet, roasty and chocolatey finish with long duration.
Palate: medium bodied with watery texture and soft carbonation.
Overall: excellent. Great flavor that you can taste until the last drop.

Draft - Citrus, pine and dark caramel. Cloudy brown with a decent light brown head. Caramel, citrus, pine and Chocolaty caramel. Very different with nice sweet dark caramel and light rye spice, without too much hop profile.

On tap @ Reubenís. Pours medium caramel brown with thin lacy off-white head. Aroma is medium roasty malt with a prominent sharp rye note hat lingers through the finish. Light earthy fresh hops on the back. Taste is similar, fully malty flavor and mouthfeel, plenty of rye although less than the nose, and more floral and citrus notes from the hops. The lightly roasted dark malts really jump out on the finish. Easy drinking and unique flavor profile.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Nose is bready with some crusty notes. Not significantly hoppy in the aroma. Taste is immediately bitter and then a touch of roast. Hops seem minimal overall and the bitterness seems to clash with the bready crust grain bill. meh.

Though classified as IPA has a strong Brown malt profile--roast malt, sawdust, rye and caramel.. Aromas of coffee, brown sugar and plywood. The bitterness melds well with the darker malts. Just that Iím not a big brown/porter fan.

Really dark pour! Significant hops on the nose, not so forward in the flavor. Residual sugars, chocolate, earthy, peppery rye. Nice bitter finish. This oneís a bit less complex than others Iíve had from them. Still quite tasty, though.

Good Christmas tick.
Deep amber color, light brown head with some spotty lacing.
Nose is toast, spice and soft chocolate. Good spiced rye nose. Not a lot of the hops come out, more about the spice.
Taste is a lot of toasted rye and spice with soft notes of chocolate. The spice really shines in this with some backing pine and grapefruit peel.
Medium bodied and medium carbonation. Could pass for a Amber ale even more than an IPA
