Simply put, a rye hefeweizen. Aroma of rye, banana and clove make way to a medium body with a rye spice finish.

Rye hefe! Light cola color, off white head, some lacing. Banana, cloves, roasted malt. Rye. Chocolate. Medium body. Nice hop bitterness presence in the finish. Overall: this is great. Not sure I've anything quite like it before and it really comes together well. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Reuben’s, Seattle. Soapy fine foam on cloudy gray brown. Rye sweet-bitter twist on a banana clove base. Bitter over top, tart and dry finish. Sweet here notes just up front before drying bitter overtakes. Lovely.

commonmac (1000) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 19, 2015
Tap at the brewery with commonshawn, rosskyle, and wildcard. Pint glass. Copper/amber in color with a quiet head. Aroma is a little sour but mostly rye or some sort of grain. Taste is leaning on malts and sweetness almost like a dubbel. Fruit is present too along with a little bitterness in the middle. Ends with a sugary finish. A well done beer overall.

Tap at brewery with commonmac and rosskyle and wildcard. Hazy rust color with small head. Slightly spicy nose. Dark spice is there as well as a bit yeasty. Definitely something different, pretty good.

At the brewery. Nice flavors but very light. Very good aroma and appearance, but wanted heavier flavor especially in winter.

(Tap) nice Belgian aroma and taste but lighter than I prefer for the style. I will drink this on warmer days.

Tap @ Ruebens. Clear dark amber color with ivory head.  Sweet, spicy rye malt, caramel malt aromas with some dank . Medium body. Sweet fruity spicy  bready malt flavor follows the smell----not bad

On tap @ the brewery during 7/5/2014 Seattle beer tour. Pours a bit hazy, deep rust orange appearance with a thin tan head. Aroma is very spicy with lots of nutmeg and clove and pears. Spicy rye, caramel, black bread flavor. Very spicy. Heavy phenols and esters. Not my favorite.
