10th rating of this bad boy, yes! Draft at the source, with ajax25g. Hazy amber color, thick bright tan head, solid lacing. Aroma of slightly sour, lightly spiced brown bread. Taste is sour caramel bubblegum. Tasty.

Hazy dark amber color with creamy head. It has some character of Dunkelweizen, but it’s a bit too yeasty, mainly the aroma. The rye has some value, there is some banana and clove, but in the end it’s an ordinary beer.

On tap at Reuben’s brews, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma of rye, clove, banana & slight spices – very light aroma though. Flavour brings out banana, clove and rye upfront, finishing with dominating banana notes. Surprisingly full-flavoured while remaining light-bodied and easily drinkable. Really good.

22oz bottle. Poured a hazy yellow/golden color with an off white head. Bready, rye, spices, and bananas.

Bottle... Clear amber pour with a small, fizzy, white head. The aroma is equal parts rye, hefeweizen yeast - and its associated esters and phenols - and caramel malt. Medium-bodied with tingly carbonation. Nicely balanced notes of medium-roast malts, hefeweizen yeast spiciness, and gritty rye. Finishes crisp, lightly bitter and mildly phenolic. Kudos to 50belair for sharing his bottle of this interesting beer!

On tap @ the brewery during 7/5/2014 Seattle beer tour. Pours a bit hazy, deep rust orange appearance with a thin tan head. Aroma is very spicy with lots of nutmeg and clove and pears. Spicy rye, caramel, black bread flavor. Very spicy. Heavy phenols and esters. Not my favorite.

Hazy bronish red pour with a fizzy off white head that dissipates then holds. Smells different than the roggenbiers I had in Germany. It has a ton of herbal, grassy hops in the aroma that along with the yeast dominate. The yeast has a bti of funk in the nose. Flavor is close to what I remember. Thinner body, not as fruity, but again this is just an interpretation of it. Very nice rich breadiness, not as sweet as other examples but rather much more bitter. I like it.

Draft at sb. Pours a cloudy medium amber with a loose and creamy tan head. Beautiful nose of toasty rye, banana, and clove. Like a rye hefeweizen. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Cool combination of grain and yeast that no one else is doing.

Tap @ Ruebens. Clear dark amber color with ivory head. Sweet, spicy rye malt, caramel malt aromas with some dank . Medium body. Sweet fruity spicy bready malt flavor follows the smell----not bad
