| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 11, 2007 Pretty bad gusher. After the head subsided, I’m left with a short pour of a dark brown beer with a nicely lacing tan head. Aroma is quite sweet, with a lot of chocolate and carob, some walnut, soil, and alcohol. Flavor is somewhat musty, mildly sweet, and dominated by a dry, almond bitterness. Good beer, better cause. Kinz (2203), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 26, 2007 Richmond "industry" gathering. Deep hazy amber. Gentle Earth and spice hop aroma. Flavor was lightly caramel and faint citrus. The first hints of infection were also making themselve known, but not yet at a point where it detracted. Almost made it into a Belgian brew. In a couple more months though, this bottle could have been a total disaster as opposed to pretty good.
