22oz bottle-A medium ruby body with a small off white head. Aroma of roasted burnt malt, rye, caramel, and toffee . Taste of malt, toffee, caramel, and a little hops. A nice well balanced full bodied brew. Nicely done.

Aroma is pleasantly malty and yeasty, with just a hint of spice and a touch of apple. Color is a clear medium reddish-brown or reddish-golden; head is thick, fluffy, and pale tan. Flavor is somewhat malty and somewhat hoppy, strongly but not unpleasantly bitter, very smooth with a whisper of fruit and spice.

Pour is a bright red with a very small white head. Aroma is deffinatly roasted caramel malts with a hint of the rye. Flavor is very bready with some spice and rye. Leaves a earthyness on the tounge after the swallow. Not as over the top as Founders red rye but this is a tasty brew for a good cause.

This poured a reddish orange body with a short-lived beige head. Has a juicy, malty aroma along with some apples, black pepper, and a light earthy bitterness. Thick and oily in the mouth. The flavor seemed earthy in both malt and hops. There’s a slight presence of orchard fruit, the lively spiciness of rye, and an herbal bitterness. Not bad.
There seems to be an aweful lot of rye beers out there for them to be concerted "Specialty Grain" brews much longer.
