22. Thanks kevin. Pours a clear dark amber with bright toffee edges. Loose tannish gray head. Fishy, musty nose. Creamy, sticky body. Musty, lightly tangy citric mid palate, a bit nitrogenous. Tart musty finish.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bomber from Midtown. Pours lighter than I was expecting, itís light brown and pretty see through. The aroma is sweet from the get-go and reminds me more of lager yeast than Belgian yeast with its significant vegetal notes. Delicate spices are present in the background along with copper. The flavor is sticky sweet again with a cheap beer finish like corn. Some earthy and fruity notes hold this together, but all in all this one didnít do it for me. It doesnít remind me much of a Belgian ale or a Scotch ale.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 12/20
22 oz. bottle from Greenís on Ponce De Leon. Cola-brown color. This beer doesnít provide much head. It looks nice, but meh,,, thereís nothing special here. Aroma is of light Belgian yeast, and sugar. Honestly, other than the aforementioned aromas, there isnít much going on here. Taste is of Belgian yeast and sugar. Iím surprised that the dismissed the Scotch ale element completely...not! This does not remind me of a Scotch ale at all. I am tasting banana, Belgian yeast and sugar, but beyond that nothing. Iím sure if you give this beer time to "mature" it will come out with more defined characteristics. As of now, this beer is kind of lame.

This one didnít do a whole lot for me. Iíve had a few scotch ales that are really really good, but this one lacked body and had a muddled flavor profile. Didnít do anything for me.

Ehh...not too bad, there IS some belgian malt here--along with a bit of Scotch ífire-peatí stuff--and it hides its 8.5% ABV quite welll

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This is frankly unpleasant to taste, with too much Belgian funk even for someone who likes Belgian beer. It is saved from disaster by a long finish that almost perfectly balances rich sweet malt with yeasty quixotry. It is odd to have a body and flavor that are rather unpleasant paired with such a delightful finish, but try it if you donít believe me.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
From a 22 oz bottle this poured a brown color with a small light tan head and almost no lacing. The nose is of ripe fruit and nuts. The body was medium and the mouthfeel flat and lacking in carbonation. In short this beer was "flat". The flavor is complex, with notes of fruit, grass, earth, and flowers. Finish tails off to nothing, but that may be due to the flatness. The alcohol was not noticeable. Good cause but the beer was kind of disappointing.

2.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours brown with a touch of brown head that fizzles to nothing quick. Nose is a mix of wood, brown sugar, and a little skunk and isnít very pleasant. Flavor is somewhat better but is fairly generic brown strong ale: some brown malt, light hops, and a touch of alcohol. Finish is sticky. Unremarkable, especially considering the price and that itís supposed to honor a deceased memeber of the brewery.

Bottle (as Reunion í10 Belgian Style Scotch Ale) at PapsÝís - Thanks. Clear red/brown - no head. Sweetness, raisins, dried fruity, toasted malts, apples, oxidation, licorice, dead hops, ok dry notes. Boring.
