3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma is roasty malts, cinnamon, cocoa and caramel. Taste is rich malts, caramel and cinnamon. The cinnamon and sweet malts lingers nicely to finish. Appearance is a dark amber with a creamy fluffy beighe head that retains well.

So this was gross. I've had chocolate stouts/porters and chili beers from dogfish head that were all okay or even great. This reunion ale is a bomb IMO at incorporating those flavors. Gross haha. Get a bottle though, just to check my work.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 oz. bottle from Randallís. Pours a deep brown with reddish amber highlights and a finger of beige head. Aroma of toast, chocolate, vanilla, brown sugar, earth, and only a bit of chili spice. Flavor follows the same lines. Sweet, dry, and toasty malts, and only minor vanilla and chili. Medium-bodied, with medium carbonation. Good ale, and I imagine the spice has faded over 2 years.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark ale aroma of stewed bananas and vanilla hits you right off with a strong (predictably) molasses aroma to the bottom. Milk chocolate aromas also stand out a bit. Pours a dark ale with vanishing head and a bit of lacing. The color is nice.
Great mouthfeel with nice coating on taking the first sip. Bananas again hit me in the front with a quick sweet release. The middle of the palate feels warm, with the high alcohol content. A smooth and bitter finish. Chillies play a prominent role in the middle of the palate giving good heat and substance to this drink.
Good stuff that I am enjoying.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a very dark brown with red highlights in the sun. A foamy, taupe colored head forms quickly and stubbornly lingers. Aromas of toffee, white chocolate, sorghum, and wood. The mouthfeel is viscous and smooth. Sweet flavors of chocolate and sorghum occur first. The bitterness of fresh chili pepper and coffee acidity compliment the hop finish. itís ok. Not super. I was excited to try it, so I was a little let down.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This was nice. I donít like many beers with chili peppers but the balance with the cocoa nibs works. A nice finish, a good beer.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
355 ml bottle. (State Line Liquors) Elkton, MD.
Dark brown almost black colour with small tan head.
Aroma is sweetish malt, chili as a vegetable, milk chocolate, mild vanilla and some chili burning in aroma. Flavour is milk chocolate, milk, vanilla sweetness, some hops and sweetish malt. Flavour is not very good. Chili is only somewhere in the background as a warming effect. Iím slightly disappointed.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. Poured coffee colored, compact head that stayed around. Some lacing from the thin head. Aroma was chocolate and coffee, roasted malt. Maybe some vague vanilla. Not strong. Flavor was sweet coffee leaning to mocha, toasty and smoke, a little cinnamon and nice hit of chili pepper at the end that lingers and brings a sweetness out. Body was medium, thought the carbonation was OK. Overall liked the taste and it was enjoyable enough. The pepper tingle is pretty long lasting and I like that.
