3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber. Pours dark brown with a small tan head that fades fast. BIG cinnamon aromas. Taste is very spicy with a big hit of chocolate and a bit of vanilla at the end. For all of these flavors, it’s a fairly well-balanced beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 oz bomber shared by Indra. The pour is a dark brown with some ruby highlights and a smallish light tan head. The aroma is sweet cocoa malt, along with some faint vanilla raspberry sweetness. There is also an interesting floral character on top of the cocoa and vanilla sweetness. The taste is the cocoa sweetness primarily, with the vanilla sweet present, and roast and coffee in the back. More vanilla comes out as it warms. The palate is medium to light bodied, dry finish. Oddly, as this warmed some and seemed to get thinner. Thanks for sharing this one Eric.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pour is a dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is a nice big cinnamon with some spice and chocolate. Flavor is again a nice big spice followed by a nice creamy vanilla. Finish has some cocoa with bitter dark chocolate. This was a fantastic spiced/cocoa/vanilla ale. One of those beers where each sip brings something different.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 oz. bottle. Dark brown with amber hues and a big, tan head and thick lacing. Notes of chocolate malt, cinnamon, black bread, and hay. This is a sweet and malty beer, with a very mildly bitter finish. Light to medium body, with a powdery and dry mouthfeel.
Overall, this is a good beer, with a very forward cinnamon aspect in both the aroma and the feel. Interesting, and complex, but the palate is a little too much like eating cinnamon, which makes this a little difficult to drink.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Well, I thought this was the 650 ml bottle version of the Terrapin draft version I already rated, but shows up here as a different beer for the time being. Opaque chocolate with a quarter inch head that endures. Nose is milk chocolate, roasted corn and white pepper. Flavor is milk chocolate, roasted hot pepper, toasted corn and some light bittering from wood and resin hops. Medium-heavy body is fairly well balanced, smoothly carbonated and a fairly easy drinker.
