COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dark Ale Brewed with Cocoa Nibs, Vanilla and Cinnamon Collaboration with Shmaltz Brewing Company This year’s beer is a similar dark ale to the one we brewed for Reunion ’11. It’s  brewed with cocoa nibs from our friends at Olive and Sinclair in Nashville, vanilla, and this year cinnamon. The flavor begins with complex malt overtones and quickly gives way to the chocolate, cinnamon and vanilla. Inspired by rich mugs of Mexican hot chocolate this is going to be especially good with BBQ, Mole and Churro…maybe from your favorite local food truck?

Deep brown with a smaller tan head that fades quickly... Starts out very chocolaty, becomes big red like, then finishes very vanilla-y... Medium full bodied...

22oz bottle from smith4498, thanks Jason! Pours a clear, deep ruby-amber colored body with a thin, creamy, brown head that dissipates quickly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is cinnamon and cocoa nibs with a light herbal spicing and a moderate vanilla. Some fruity esters, cola, and a touch of bread. Flavor is similar. Smooth cocoa nibs with some vanilla, a good amount of cinnamon, and a light bready caramel note. Finishes sweet, but somewhat dry and lightly bitter with a nice cinnamon spice. Lengthy aftertaste following a smooth, medium body and a softer, moderate carbonation. Overall, a pretty solid beer. Sweeter, but spicy enough from the cinnamon to balance the cocoa nibs and vanilla. I’ve liked some of the other "mole" inspired beers more than this that I’ve tried recently, but this was still pretty good.

Bomber, pours dark brown with slight clarity. Big, billowy tan head that steadily recedes. Gloppy lacing. Big spiced chocolate on the nose, with a slight herbal bitterness from the hops, and a hint of vanilla. Taste follows suit: mostly chocolate and vanilla, bits of nutmeg and cinnamon providing a balancing spice. Sorta one-note, but good.

Bomber from Beer Run. Pours a clear medium brown color with a thin fizzy head. Fair head retention. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, tart berries, spice, citrus. The taste is tootsie rolls... big chocolate notes... vanilla, soft fruits, spicy finish and mild hops. Medium bodied, smooth, faint lingering spice, drinkable.

10oz pour at Tylers Apex. Good aroma, sweet. Cocoa, vanillla, cinnamon all show up with a solid Caramel malt base. Tad hazed brownish orange, small head that faded quickly to a ring. Sweet flavor. Medium body, smooth creamy mouthfeel, sweet spiced finish. Pretty darn good, aroma was my favorite part. Nice sweet scent with all the mentioned spice dancing around.

Draft at Fermentation. Deep amber brown pour with a white head. Aroma of cocoa, roasted malts, vanilla with light hints of spice. Flavor follows the nose with a touch more noticeable spice. Kind of a weak mouthfeel, otherwise not bad.

Bomber from Capone’s. Pours turbid deep chestnut with minimal tan head. Nose is malty, with notes of cacao, vanilla, brown sugar. Tastes rich, very cacaoey, with roasty malt, nuts, brown sugar, and vanilla notes. Complex on the palate, and above average density. This one is a great ale.
