22oz bottle pours a hazy brown with a thin tan head with a cinnamon spice aroma. Taste is the same with a bit of a vanilla and sweet chocolate.

Not much of an aroma. Taste of brown ale first then cinnamon then chocolate. It’s unique. Not my style. Would not buy again

Bottle- pours out dark brown with medium thick off white head. Nose of vanilla, cocoa, and malt. Taste is initially of sweet vanilla malt. This is then countered by bitter chocolate and cinnamon. Finishes on the dry side.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Paired with 2013 version.
A: strong cinnamon and cola. Brings more than 2013.
A: Looks the same at 2013. Dull, thin, poor head retention.
T: Wow, totally different than 2013. Big vanilla note. Cola finish (tastes like vanilla coke). Some honey sweetness. A little dull in the finish.
P: More smooth than 2013. Flavors are more vanilla. More coka cola flavor development. Not as bitter on the finish. Not as acidic.
Overall a much better beer than 2013 version but still not great. It drinks too much like a vanilla coke. Unique but maybe not for the best.

Vanilla and cinnamon. Didn’t enjoy as much as the 2011, but solid nonetheless.

Bottle, shared by Grippitis with me and Parksy. Dark brown, light brown head. Distinctly Mexican chocolate aroma and flavour, with a lovely vanilla sweetness. Denser malt structure than the Oatis, and a better flavour overall. I’ve had this three years running now, great series, great cause. Special thoughts of Camillo while savoring this one.

Draft. Pours clear dark tawny brown with a thin white head and some decent lacing. Tastes strongly of cocoa and coffee beans, light bitterness. Light body and medium carbonation. Smells like sweet cocoa and coffee.

Tap at Max’s. Pours dark brown with creamy beige head. Aroma is roasted and chocolate malts, espresso beans, vanilla, earthy notes, and some dried dark fruit. Flavor is dry, roast malts forward, cocoa, espresso, earthy hops, and light woody notes; dry, roasted finish. Medium body and low carbonation.

Dark red copper amber with a silky creamy head. Aromas cinnamon, ginger, slight cocoa, vanilla, and cola. Flavors of cinnamon, slight ginger, cocoa, cola, vanilla and slight grass. Medium sweet, slightly cloying (mostly the cinnamon) with just a slight wheat malt aftertaste. Interstingly good stuff. L’CHAIM!
