COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dark Ale Brewed with Cocoa Nibs, Vanilla and Cinnamon Collaboration with Shmaltz Brewing Company This year’s beer is a similar dark ale to the one we brewed for Reunion ’11. It’s  brewed with cocoa nibs from our friends at Olive and Sinclair in Nashville, vanilla, and this year cinnamon. The flavor begins with complex malt overtones and quickly gives way to the chocolate, cinnamon and vanilla. Inspired by rich mugs of Mexican hot chocolate this is going to be especially good with BBQ, Mole and Churro…maybe from your favorite local food truck?

Brown (tea-like) pour with a tan head. The aroma has mild cinnamon and cocoa. It has a medium body with creamy texture and lively carbonation. The taste is similar to root beer candy with a little warmth and a dry finish.

22 oz. bottle via trade with smith4498 - Pours a reddish-brown color with a 2/3 finger thick light tan head. Very light spotty lacing. Aroma is cola, light cinnamon, and caramel. The vanilla and light chocolate comes out in the flavor. Medium body. A good beer. Thanks Jason.

9/21/12. On tap at Kickback’s. Dark brown pour with a small khaki head that fades. Strangely fruity and dusty aroma that reminds me of that fake smoke inside of haunted houses. Sweet chocolate and that weird dusty aspect again with some cinnamon. I don’t love it.

Tasted on 9/19/12 from a capped 650mL bomber bottle purchased at Midtown. Pours deep molasses brown with a thick beige head that slowly recedes to fairly thick lace. The nose is dominated by sweet chocolate syrup and vanilla with just a touch of sweet cinnamon candy. The flavor is plenty sweet with the vanilla and milk chocolate syrup taking over, and a nice dose of cinnamon that appears as sweet up front and more spicy on the back of the palate. The body is full with average carbonation and a long vanilla, milk chocolate syrup, and spicy cinnamon finish.

Brewgrass 2012 - pours mahogany with a fluffy tan head that leaves wispy lace. Lots of vanilla to the nose. Cinnamon, nutmeg, caramel and vanilla sweetness with a spicy dry finish. Awesome sticky, yet light palate. Very, very good brew! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours mahogany with a small beige head. Smells of chocolate and hints of cinnamon. Taste is subtle cocoa, vanilla, and cinnamon. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Terrapin Reunion ’12 finishes with some cinnamon dryness.

A brown ale, Oy Vie? Don’t Passover this beer or Jew’ll be sorry. Aroma of chocolate and vanilla over a malt base. The flavor has the same, lots of vanilla, and a bit of cinnamon. Nicely balanced for a smooth drink. Shalom.

On tap. Dark chestnut with a lasting creamy ring. Smells of chocolate, vanilla, caramel and a touch of earthy spice. Taste is caramel cola, cocoa, and a bitter pill of dry cocoa and cinnamon on the finish. Medium body has light carbonation and is sweet with an over-spiced bitter, powdery finish.

Pour is dark brown. Nose immediately smells of spice and cinamin. The chocolate comes through as well. Taste is impeccably balanced. A perfect blend of all the elements involved. I hate beers that attempt to be spicy. This beer has assuaged my fears with ease. Well done.
