Bottle at Wolfgang Puck’s Postrio Bar & Grill in Las Vegas. The beer is a clear brownish-amber color with a medium beige head that dissipates steadily. Clingy partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of ripe fruit and malt. Medium, clean body with a fruity character and notes of caramel malt and a bit of hops. The finish is sweet malt and molasses. Just average overall.

It’s just a whole lot of nothing special. I like Americanized versions of German beers a lot better than authentic German beers. Maybe that’s because I’m an American? Funny, cause I’m actually a German-American.

Dark ruby cloring with a very large light tan head. Aroma is surprisingly full with roasted peanuts and some potato chips. The slightest hint of apple. The taste is peanut butter with some blackberries. Not as sweet as those descriptions sound. Light in the mouthfeel. Nothing special, but not offensive.

Bottle (thanks to MoritzF): Dark amber coloured, beige, stable head; sweetish malty nose, distinctive traces of molasses, faint traces of coffee and caramel, mild bitterness; sweetish malty start, becoming dry towards the end; sweetish flavour; short, a bit tart and mild bitter finish with a metallic tinge; lacks a bit a fuller body and could be better rounded................

dark honey color (almost amber) with a loose head. Sweet aroma with some molasses hints. Bold initial flavor but faded quickly with a weak molasses finish. Nice bite on the tongue, thin bodied. Somewhat bland, but I had a good time trying to identify the subtle flavors.

Bottle. Pours a clear crimson ruby brown with a thin beige head. Cloying caramel right up front. Really sweet aromas. More caramel on the body, but a lot of emptiness and stale malt. A bit of cardboard and light bitterness on the finish.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 nick76 (4077) - Tampa, Florida, USA - JUL 13, 2006
The aroma has chocolate malt with yeast and some hops. There is also a paper smell that seems to be present in so many central European beers. The appearance is brown and very clear with a decent head. The flavor is sweet with all the elements of the aroma present. The palate is light. There is a slight metallic taste in the finish but overall its not bad, just a little weak. This sort of reminds me of coco puffs.
