Bottle. Large off-whte frothy head that was mostly lasting, fine-large sized bubbles, good lacing, carbonated, transparent, and a reddish brown hue. Aroma was malty, caramel and sweet. Flavor was sweet, malty, lightly bitter, caramel, smooth. Mouthfeel was smooth, watery and thin. Light-medium body.

Thanks to SecretSanta Degarth for sending this my way. Very nice dark brown body with a hint of ruby. Nice frothy ivory head with a roasted maple sugar and caramel aroma. Roasted malt flavor, with some nice dark fruit accents, cherry is evident. Sweet and dry ending.

Bottle. Dark cloudy red with off white fast dissipating head. Ringed lacing. Sweet malty aroma with date notes. Medium to full body with more candied fruit. Something slightly off in the finish, but overall a pleasant beer.

Pours attractive garnet brown with a huge tan, smooth foamy head. The nose is sweet and slightly roasted malt. The flavor is the same with a clean finish.

500 mL bottle. Pours a nice umber/mahogany shade with a creamy beige head. Leaves some fine spotty lacing. Aroma is nutty with some fresh baked dark bread and caramel. Toasted grain flavor with sweeter toffee/caramel notes. A little bit of earthy character and a slightly metallic note on the finish. Light and dry, but could use more body. Finish is on the watery side. Smooth carbonation, easy to drink. Decent dunkel but not robust enough.

Head is initially average sized, frothy, light brown, mostly lasting. Body is clear medium brown. Aroma is moderately malty (toasted bread, molasses, nuts), lightly hoppy (flowers). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, slightly husky. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. The malt character isn’t quite sexy enough to stand on its own, and the hops aren’t strong enough to brighten it, so this one falls a little flat for me. The finish seems a little grainy, thus after a few sips I didn’t really feel like drinking any more. Seems to have potential, but it needs to try a little harder.

Pours a deep amber color. Aroma smells kind of grainy and a little malty. Interesting flavor. Kind of mix of chocolate and fruit. Some roasted malts coming up in the rear. I’ve not tasted a beer quite like this before. Pretty good though.

Pours a clear copper mahogany with a thick, thinly-lacing light tan head. Aroma has nice German lager yeast profile and a semi-sweet, toasted malt nuttiness. Starts mildly sweet and toasty with a light noble hoppy bitterness toward a thin watery finish. A very refreshing, clean light lager, but could have a touch more sweetness and body for a dunkel.
