8/4/12. 500mL bottle from Grassroots. Light doughy aroma with caramel and toast along with hay and grassiness. Lightly sweet malty entry with hay, doughiness, sweet burnt toffee, and light apples. Eh.

It’s golden with a dense, white head. The aroma has notes of malt, grass, bread and flower. The flavor has a light sweetness and notes of malt, straw, light fruit and bread. The finish is pretty dry.

Bottle... Poured pale golden with a fuzzy white head. Subtle mouthfeel and low carbonation. Simple, straigh forward. Malty with a hint of hop spicing and earthiness. Biscuity with some grassy tones to balance.

Translucent gold with a billowy white head. Medium-full body with high carbonation.

Aroma: sweet pilsner malt, slightly sour leafy peppery hops.

Taste: sour minerality, sweet pilsner malt, leafy herbal hops, and some mild grainy astringency.

There is a sort of thinness to the flavors, and underlying salty minerality, that likely come from the local water, which i don’t care for.

Picked up at Maruhn Getränke in Darmstadt. Pours a clear golden yellow color. Aromas of grass, cheerios, and a touch of flowers. Flavor is kinda sweet to start, citrusy finish with some hop notes.

Had in bottle at d.b.a in New Orleans .. . Pours a medium yellow gold .. medium foam, medium lacing .. . some cereal and hay .. mildly refreshing .. . . pretty good but just your average helles .. . No offense but you’re a decripped monkey skeleton!

Bottle from the brewery. Clear golden yellow, mid-sized white head. Medium-bodied malty Base with some rather shy herbal hops.

Malzig-bitterer Antrunk, im Mittelteil würziger werdend, die Betonung liegt weiter auf der Malzigkeit. Die nun hopfig-herbe Beinote wird milder, dennoch ist besonders die natürlich wirkende Hopfigkeit noch ausreichend vorhanden. Gut ausbalancierter Abgang, in dem der Hopfen konstant bleibt, das Malz nimmt nur langsam ab. Sehr bekömmliches Bier! Test vom 22.1.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,12,13,13,8,12 - 12,00

Part of the Great Munich Beer Raid 2010. 500 ml bottle in Germany. Pours crystal clear yellow with big white head, lots of carbonation for a Helles. Some straw aromas also sweet. Flavor is much the same. Nothing special here an average Helles.

Bottled. A golden beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, leading to a lightly bitter finish.
