3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bright yellow with steady carbonation and a short-lived frothy white head, this has a sweet grainy aroma that’s almost masked by the floral hops. Almost creamy in the mouth, it has a sweet, malt taste with a spritz of lemon and a floral/herbal hop bitterness that’s near Pilsener in strength. This refreshing brew has a snappy, crisp finish. Nice.

1.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle. Poured a large white frothy head that was mostly lasting, excellent lacing, fine-small sized bubbles, carbonated, transparent, and a straw yellow hue. Aroma was malty, musty and skunky. Flavor was malty. Mouthfeel was smooth, thin and dry. Light-medium body. Unimpressive.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
This bottled brew marked batch L4145 poured a large sized head of white colored foamy finely sized long lasting bubbles that left behind a transparent light yellow orange colored carbonated body and a fair lace. The aroma contained notes of malts hops and some slightly skunky dirty sock notes. The mouth feel was mild and tingly from start to finish with a mild malt hop aftertaste. Its thin flavor was unremarkable.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
.5 L, capped bottle: modest, bleached white, rocky foam…streaming golden bubbles throughout the bright yellow body. Sweet & fresh malted grain aroma with subtle sugar coated, piney hop flowers. Light carbonation and a zesty lemony palate. Malt backbone forms the foundation for a smooth, refreshing and tasty brew. Another example of how a good German brew is so superior to the ones that are so available in the States. Soft finish with fresh grass, sunshine and sweet hay. Very nice.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours crystal clear yellow with big white head, significant carbonation. Potent straw aromas also sweet. Flavor is much the same. I can’t drink too many of these before the sweetness gets cloying. Smooth body but gets cloying about halfway through a bottle. Nothing special here.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(16.9 oz bottle, $2.49 at BevMo in La Mesa, CA) This is my first exposure to a Reutberger beer, and it’s a positive one. Moderately sweet, grainy and bready initially, and then joined in the finish by a gently balancing, mildly bitter hoppiness. Sweet, grainy nose with a light "European lager" hoppiness. The palate is very carbonated, with each sip expanding in the mouth, yet there are hardly any carbonation bubbles rising through the hazy, dark yellow beer. Whitish head shows average size and retention, settling to a thin layer and leaving behind strands and polka dots of lace. Not in the elite class, but still nice for the style.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is clear medium yellow. Aroma is moderately hoppy (flowers, herbs), moderately malty (toasted bread), hint of DMS. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. Quite nice for the style, though not on the level of, say, Wolnzacher.
