2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
500ml bottle (BeerAngel.de)
Rich orange, tight head. Malty and liver aroma. Winey taste at first, but fills out to a fruity, sherbetty, and spicy maltiness of the bock variety, then a very bitter and resiny hoppy taste, which stays for the finish. A touch aggressive in the bitternes, but not unpleasant. Big and interesting bock.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Botted as "Weihnachts Bock" (Beerangel, BB 11/2009).
Deep golden color, small white head. Grainy sweet malty nose with mild grassy hops. A bit bready. Medium-bodied. Bready, sweet malty, grassy hoppy. A bit harsh. Aftertaste is short, mostly some oily alcoholic flavors. Very close to East European strong lagers. Drinkable anyway.
