Bottle at a tasting. Orange pour with some tan head. Slight spice, some fruit esters, caramel and sugar, and some light nutty tones.

Malzig-frischer Antrunk, etwas scharf, dezent karamellmalzig. Im Mittelteil wird das Bier noch etwas komplexer, im Hintergrund fruchtig-alkoholisch, im Vordergrund weiter das süßliche Malz, welches zunehmend röstiger wird. Hier setzt sie erhoffte Bockbierwürze ein, die das Bier nun noch aromatischer macht. Röstmalziger Abgang, die Süße ist allerdings ebenbürtig und schafft zu einen guten Ausgleich zur Würze und zur weiterhin bestehenden Schärfe.
Da fragt man sich doch, wie der dunkle Bock so überzeugend wirken kann, während der helle doch eher misslungen scheint..

bottle, purchased at the brewery. Clear chestnut-brown colour, large beige head. Full-bodied, malty with flavours of caramel, roasetd malts and honey, shy hop flavours in the lingering finish. Good.

Amber pour. Nose is clean and fresh with a nice crackery malt base. Clean and fresh with a bit of kettle caramelization and toffee. Well constructed and chewy. Nice balance of malt and clear clean lager character. A little bit of flinty character. Really solid.

Bottle at a tasting at Paul’s place. Pours a clear orange with a thin white. Big caramel, faint smoke, sweet. Smooth and sweet, like pure caramel. Well balanced, quite nice. Caramel corn and burnt sugar on the finish.

Pours amber with a nice off-white head and smoky aroma. There is a roasted malt flavor with a dry slightly bitter finish.

Pours light amber, small head. Aroma has caramel, pale grains, slight alcohol and DMS. Palate is creamy, a bit weighty. Flavor is rich in caramel, darker rustic breads. Mature, but not all that special, even for this rather unique “blonde” bock style.

Clear amber with a medium beige head. Sweet malty aroma with caramel notes. Very sweet flavour with caramel notes. Very sweet flavour with caramel and roasted malt.
