Pours black with a tiny brown lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate, sweet ripe fruits, caramel, syrup and vanilla. Big and smooth imperial stout smell. The taste got some sweet liquorice, dark cocoa, molasses, syrup, dark sweet fruits and a rather savory end. The body is rather flat. Extremely well done! Where is the 14% in this exactly?

My Bottom Line:
This luxurious sipper weaves a complex web of flavours spanning from molasses, dark chocolate, blackberry fruitiness, roasted coffee beans and resinous hop bitterness, in a silky, rich mouthfeel licked by alcohol heat.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam crowns the pure black.
-This is complex and has no dominating flavors.
-Vinous moments work very well with the monster’s residual sugars.
-Warm temperatures make it become decadent.

3-year-old bottle.
