18/02/2013 330ml bottle. Nera, densa, impenetrabile, buona schiuma cappuccino, cremosa e persistente.

Bottle, 13%. Almost black with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, vinous with notes of alcohol. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, little vinous, little oak, medium sweet, hop, notes of alcohol, little liquorice and medium bitter. Not hiding the alcohol well.

Bottle. Found this by searching "revelation death". Nose is pungent coffee and lactose sourness, almost to pickle levels. Flavour is much more milk chocolate, slight metallic, feels like an amped up version of their sweet stout which would make sense I guess. Less Mackesons, though, more marshmallow. Smooth but not as thick as I’d expected. So chocolate marshmallow without the thickness. A bit too vinous and cloying for my impeccable taste.

Bottle. Jet black, no reflections. No head. Strong aroma of ash, chocolate and alcohol, some nuts, fruitty esters. Medium sweet taste with contrary from bitter finsh, both alcoholic and hoppy. It is almost like chocolate liquor, thick, oily body, good balance, very short aftertaste. It is perfect to sip it slowly during a cold evening.
