Bottle shared at a CBC - Clerkenwell Sunday Tasting, London - thanks to whoever brought this one! Pours clear copper with a light, white foam head. Big and sweet, lots of ripe orange, toasty sugars, old pine. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warm and sticky finish, loads of heavy resinous pine, thick mango, papaya and grapefruit. Sweet and piney. Plenty of ripe citrus. Good if a touch too bold.

Bottle at tasting, thanks Mark. Dark amber, small golden head. Aroma is full on malty, sweet, bit chemically. Taste is sweet, not so bad, quite butterscotchy. Hides booze well.

Amber golden color. Caramel and grapefruit citrus hops dominate the nose. Very big, mildly sweet. Very big, but not unbalanced or horrible. Not my type of IIIPA as it is too much of everything. Still for 13% IIIIIIIIIIIIPA it holds together well.

Bottle. Thanks to Seth for sharing! The pour’s deep amber/brown with a small off-white head. The nose is rich caramel, berries, plenty of grapefruit and toasted grains. Notes of hot booze. The taste is caramelised berries, sweet jammy fruit salad. Big, hot treacle and raisins. Lightly sprucy hop accents. Not particularly bitter. Malt characteristics feature quite prominently. Full body, sticky. Overall, not bad. I’d call this a nice barleywine.

Bottled, courtesy of skortila. Orange - brown colour, tan creamy head. Nose is pine hops, sticky resin, caramel, slightly alcoholic. Flavour is caramel malts, toffee, resin, touch of alcohol, grapefruits. Fairly bitter finish. Very good.

Bottle shared by KyotoLefty. Thanks! Big sourish and prune aroma, with some candied fruit and fumes. Dark straw color. Sharp tingly hop initial; mid comes through with complex fruitiness and some hop balance; strong alcohol and hoppy finish. Medium body. Pretty damn good. But really more like a barley wine. Hides the alcohol to some extent. At least it doesn’t hit the palate like a 13% brew usually does.

Bottle from Alex. Huge fresh hop nose, grassy, light brown with orange color and a pretty lace. Sweet and resinous, somewhay syrupy with pine and enormous bitterness. Very earthy, much like an American BW. Don’t feel the 13% alcohol. Very interesting and enjoyable.

Bottle courtesy of Alex420, grazie a Lei! Clear deep amber color, thick cream colored head with good retention and solid lacing - a beutiful beer. Aroma is sweet pine and caramel. Taste is sweet, malty pine resin. Straightforward stuff.

Bottle (Thanks a lot to Alex) at home - shared with Mette. Clear dark amber - white bubbles. Ok hoppy, rather bitter, sweet malty, dried fruits, light alcoholic notes, toasted malts, knækbrød, grape fruits, citrus, resin, nutty, grassy, raisins, lots of hops, a mix of DIPA & a Barley Wine...... Nice...
