3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap @ Fermentoren Aarhus. Pours dark mahogany with a sturdy tan head. Aroma is very floral with a lot of fresh hops, strong liquorice and some raisiny stuff too; lots of booze as well. The balance between hops and dark, roasted malts is quite good. Very aromatic, dry and slighty perfume-ish. I might be wrong, but I think I smell simcoe.. Taste is boozy on the touch, but develops nicely over a burnt caramel sweetness into a dry and quite bitter finish. Full bodied and nicely balanced.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
40 cl from Smoke Ring tap, served in a jar. Dark copper/light brown, slightly hazy, with a thick ring of off-white foam. Not much in the aroma, mainly roasted malts, chocolate, some bourbon like qualities, booze, a hint of soap. Definitely better in the mouth: quite boozy upfront, but not in a harsh way, just warming the throat. Solid level of bitterness, both grassy and citrusy, Silky bitter dark chocolate, a hint of coffee and brown sugar. Pleasent resinous aftertaste. Average carbonation, medium to full body, slightly oily texture. This is a true BIPA, and quite a good one as well.

[From my backlog, Tasted @ El Lúpulo Feroz]. Black with an off-white head with medium duration and medium to poor lacework. Aroma has notes of fresh hops, some roasty notes, licorice and black chocolate. Flavor is bittery with good duration, notes of coffee beans and licorice. Easy drinkable with a final with a mild bitterness.

At 4:20 in Rome. Deep black colour with an ivory long lasting head. Nose of licorice, grass, summer fruit. Mouth is simply great: licorice, resin, hoppy. Complex stuff!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A coarse big-bubbled choco/beige head, resting upon a very dark ruby brown see-trough body. Bold hop aroma; Piny hop oils, citrus zest and some quite nice berry tones. Light body for such a big beer. The "black" is more evident in the flavor. No overpowering roasted tones. Some grainy choco flavors and hint of mild to medium roasted dark malts. Heavy bitterness, Earth and pepper. Mouth-drying bitter finish. Good thing! [Bottle from Vinmonopolet, Vika]

jak zwykle Revlelation Cat nie zawodzi.
po trochu wszystkiego
ziołowo-iglasty, karmel czuć i cytrusy gorzkie.
