COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Seriously potent bitterness with a series of pungent and resinous aromas. A Dry beer with a slight resinous licorice backbone to it. You got to drink this beer on a full moon night on a West Coast beach (an Italian one will surely do as well).

Magnifica!!! IPA italiana riuscita davvero bene. Dorata con schiuma bianca persistente. Al naso grande profumo resinoso ed erbaceo con note di caramello. In bocca bilanciata molto bene verso líamaro. Sapore resinoso di pino ed agrumi con retrogusto di caramello e miele. Il corpo medio e la secchezza finale la rendono pericolosamente interessante.

16/09/2012 on tap @Brasserie 4:20 (Rome). Ambrata, abbastanza limpida, schiuma bianca leggera, molto persistente. Corpo medio, carbonatazione corretta. Birra stupefacente, di grande equilibrio, bevuta freschissima.

Bottle courtesy of a modern day Roman Archimedes. All kinds of grapefruit and resinous hop aromas. Cloudy burnt orange pour with a white head. Very smooth and creamy despite the intense hop flavors. Huge grapefruit and pine resin notes that donít overwhelm due to the silky smooth malt backbone. Good body, pleasant mouthfeel, and perfect carbonation. I know the hop bill must be outrageous, but there is no doubt this is a sessionable brew. In fact, I think itís time for number two. If your a hop head, give this girl a whirl. If your not, well hell, no better time than the present to get on board the hop train. So get your ass to Rome and try some California Moonset......

Cloudy amber color with medium sized creamy head. The aroma is full of fruity hops initially, fruit jam, followed by a more earthy and spicy touch. This gravity is very good for this kind of beer, it provides a solid backbone, full body, and still itís very drinkable; good toffee flavor, moderate residual sweetness, and abrasive bitterness, with loads of hop resins and bitter oranges; very long final.
Very much appreciated tonight.

UPDATED: SEP 2, 2013 330 ml bottle @ Ale & Hop, Barcelona. Pours a deep cloudy amber golden colour with a white head. Aroma is very strong with strong citrusy hops, some herbal notes and mild sweetness. Flavour of pungent citrusy hops, floral notes, mild caramel, pale malts and really nice and round herbal notes. Very big citrusy hoppy finish with pale malts and only a little sweetness. Extremely high drinkability. Hop head?s delight.

This is how an IPA should be. Period. It pours a hazy, pale amber body with a small, off-white head that reduces to a fully lasting thin layer after quite some time, and it laces the glass well. Very strong aroma with truckloads of hoppy notes. Itís mainly overripe tropical fruits and grapefruit, but it also has a solid malty backbone with caramel which makes this one smell more like a DIPA than your average super crisp IPA. The taste is moderate sweet and the slightly dry and very long-lasting finish is very heavy bitter. Itís a lovely, powerful and clean bitterness that lingers on and on. Amazing! The flavours are unusually strong, again with DIPA like overripe tropical fruits, grapefruit and malts in the back, but equally obvious are the resin and the juicy pine needles. Far in the back I get a whiff of alcohol. The mouthfeel is close to perfect, a lovely oily texture and medium carbonation, and the moderate carbonation enhances the crisp elements and makes sure that the overripe fruity notes doesnít take over. A winner!

Bottle from the brewery. Flowery hops, fruit, but everything is pushed aside by inistent piney hops. I love it.

Another bottle courtesy of the main man, cheers Alex!
Pours hazy dark amber with fluffy white head. Pithy citrus with smoother grape flavours beneath. Centenniel and Nelson sauvin perhaps? The bitterness is up front followed by jammy blackcurrant and tangerine. Long dry moreish finish. No tacky crystal here, a sessionable big hitter.

UPDATED: JAN 17, 2013 33cl bottle courtesy of Alex. It pours deep orange / burnt sugar in colour with a one finger soapy white head. Foam vanishing rather quickly. Aroma is intensely hoppy, coming through as very fruity. Smells like apricot and feet from the bottle and itís already magnificent. In the glass it opens to more citrusy notes with grapefruit and apricot. Some sugary sweetness in the nose as well. Taste is bitter on a solid malty backbone. Ends very dry and very bitter. So bitter itís almost astringent. Taste is very fruity, as in the nose, but more balanced towards a biscuit toffee like malt base. You can feel this is bold. Nice body, almost silky texture. Soft carbonation. Overall, definitely a hop bomb. Outstanding in the aroma, balanced in the taste. You need to be used to serious hoppiness to stand the almost abrasive aftertaste. If you do, this can be heaven.
