Huge Nelson Sauvin nose. Smooth and well attenuated. Great drinking beer - so drinkable it’s not funny. Really well balanced though this is most def a hop monster. Toffee, biscuit and very fruity. This is what beer is all about. Like a mini Alpine Nelson. Fantab. Cheers Mark.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at tasting, thanks Mark. Hazy blond/light orange colour, small bubbly white head. Aroma is lots of cat pee, hoppy, very stinky. Taste is nice. Lots of taste for low alcohol. Tropical fruit, nice bitterness. Not so much carbonation. Very drinkable.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
33cl bottle. It pours a slightly hazy pale yellow color with a huge soapy white head. Gushing beer with lasting foam. Aroma is hoppy and citrusy. Citrus, loads of pineapple and some apricot. RevCat surely knows how to dry hop. Taste is quite bitter, mostly hoppy with some grainy components. The fresh fruits from the dry hopping really shine in this. Mostly pineapple but apricot is there with a gentle sweet touch to mitigate partly the overall bitterness. Very fresh and smooth taste. No traces of alcohol. Light in body with very nice carbonation. Overall, this is what an APA should be, light refreshing easy to drink and damn tasty. The fruity hoppy profile helps drinkability a lot: resiny piny hops tend to enhance the bitter sensation making some APAs much less refreshing. Fruity and amazing.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Santa. First beer of the golden globes. Lightly hazy orange/yellow color with a small whitehead. Loads of carbonation in this beer. Citrus filled aroma with lots of orange, lime, grapefruit, lemon zest, and bit of pine. Pretty incredible. Taste is interesting but not as good asthe aroma. Candied citrus, slight lemon, grassiness. and caramel sweetness. Dry finish.

Bottle, Thanks to KyotoLefty. Great big hop stink. Hazy peach-honey with a load of floaties. Slightly harsh hop initial; grapefruit and lemon tang in mid palate; tingle of carb and hop traces. Thin, dry, and a bit spritzy. Hop-strong stuff. Hops also come along as a texture. Good and sessionable.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Gushing. Heller Malz- und Hopfenbeginn mit starker Karbonisierung. Schnell abflachend, spät werden die Hopfennoten blumig. Trinkbar aber eher unspannend. 8/8/9/7/10/8

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: DEC 31, 2012 Bottle at home, thanks to Alex. Grapefruit slurpee nose, grass but mostly big citrus. Cloudy golden with a low lacy head. Tangy citrus hop flavors are intense but elegant. Not sweet, great citrus tang, lemon and grapefruit mostly, some light zest but not astringent. Very crisp, light, dry, and tasty. Amazing for 4.5%. Very well done.

Bottle courtesy of Alex420 - thank you! Part of a group tasting with the RB crew and staff at Birreria Paradiso Georgetown, thank you for volunteering! This was most people’s favorite of the night, certainly the best of the session beers. Although everyone liked the Nintendo labels, most pointed out that this dark purple label suggested something more like an imperial stout rather than a pale ale. Most people commented on the strawberry. marshmallow, perfume and other fruits in the aroma. All commented that the beer has a lot of flavor for a 4.5%er, with grapefruit and other citrus; one person found it too bitter. Very tasty.
