[10/15/13] Hand-pump at Brasserie 4:20 in Rome. Hazy amber. Aroma of wood, some sour funk and some citrus. Sour woody flavor, a bit sweaty, with some lemon, a bit of vinegar, a bit of sweetness and a bone dry finish with a bit of alcohol. Medium-bodied. Decent.

23/09/2012 Brasserie 4:20 (handpump). Golden Ale invecchiata in botte. Ambrata intensa, lievemente torbida, schiuma leggera. Al naso un mix di luppoli e note acide, sentori agrumati, di aranciai e floreali. In bocca ha un attacco di malto, quindi vira decisamente su sentori acidi (leggeri) e un finale abbastanza secco e amaro. Corpo medio, carbonazione soft. Curiosa e originale, un bell’esperimento.

OleR (4802) - Oslo, NORWAY - JAN 15, 2013
From tap @Schouskjelleren, Oslo. Unclear orange to amber body color. A layer of tiny blond bubbles on top. Nose is mild sourness and barnyard with a spicy twist. Rounded flavores. Both sweet, acidic and sour. Clean-tasting. Fine fruit tones resembling cider-apples and rhubarb. A certain spiciness in the backbone. Easy on the palate, yet quite filling. An easy-to-like sour with good drinkability. [28.11.12]

From tap, 250ml at Schouskjelleren. Apricot coloured body, slightly hazy. Firm, near white head. Tart and sweet aroma with a touch of farmyard. Rather complex flavour profile with honey sweetness playing together with tart fruit on a backbone of earthiness. Subdued sourish ending. A little mealy on the palate. Overall a nice cleanser (Oslo, 10.12.2012).

Hand pump at 4:20. Nice hop nose: tropical fruits, peaches, grapefruits, plus some caramel malts. Bitter, sour, and sweet flavors, with honey, citrus, and creamy yogurt. Finish is very bitter. Body is light and a bit thin. Good.
