Unclear medium yellow to orange colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy horse blanket, sulfur, peat, matches. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate acidic with a long duration, peat, smoke, tart. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20121214]

On tap at Jekyll, november 3rd 2012. Muddy golden color, small white lacings. Strong yeasty and fruity lambic aroma with a really nice smoky islay presence in the background. If I was the slightest sceptical before tasting I was wrong. This kind of blend really works. Taste is heavy on the lambic front, apples, yeast and vinegar, again with a good islay presence in the form of smoke and wood. Would love to have this again!

Saurer und ausgewogener Beginn, das Aroma hält sich dabei länger, die geringe Herbe geht in der starken aber absolut runden Säure unter. Spritzig, ausgewogen, gut! 12/12/13/11//13

On tap at Schouskjelleren. Slightly hazy golden with a minimal head. Slightly funky aroma with sour apples, citrus and a hint of Islay whisky. Citric and fruity with some peat smoke in the finish and aftertaste. The smoke and peat becomes more noticable after a while. Nice to drink a beer with the same aftetaste as the whiskies I prefer. Quite different, but very nice. Lovely aftertaste. (2012-06-16)

18/04/2012 Brasserie 4:20 (handpump). Dorata, spenta, torbida, schiuma bianca poco abbondante, persistente. Al naso è sporca, rozza, irriverente, con le sue forti note di whisky torbato, di cenere e lieviti selvatici, davvero particolare. In bocca è moderatamente acida con note torbate anche qui evidenti. Corpo medio, carbonazione soft. Normalmente non amo il mix tra acido e torbato, ma questa qui riesce ad essere convincente oltre ogni possibile aspettativa.

Nice whisky aroma, lovely lambic laced with peaty smoke. Nice lambic tail, a packet of cigarettes without inhaling. Exciting, shows that there is still room for innovation.
