lusikka (4047) - Tampere, FINLAND - FEB 4, 2012
330 ml bottle @ Gastropub Tuulensuu, Tampere.
Pours a dark brown colour with a small beigeish head. Aroma of dark chocolate, toasted nuts and caramel. Flavour of dark chocolate, toasted malts and nuts, fruits, caramel and lactose. Medium bodied, really smooth mouthfeel and a light, slightly toasted and fruity finish. Very nice for a low ABV beer as this.

750ml bottle, dark mahogany color, with a rocky beige head, earthy, dusty, light tobaccoish, old leafy hop nose, with some mild dark bitter chocolate, faint molasses, dark dreid fruit accents, with a mild lactic sweetness note in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, chocolatey, milkyish, lactose sweetness, cookie dough, organic chocolate milk character, with some mild brownie, chocolate muffin, chocolate pudding flavours, with a flowery leafy tobaccoish hop undertone, and some light burnt toast, burnt fruitcake, molasses backbone, leading towards a chocolatey milkyish, fruity, mild roasty finish.

Bierkrug (1919) - Idar-Oberstein (In Iraq), Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - JAN 2, 2012
330 ml bottle at home in Germany. Donated by Holy and much thanks there for. Pours a very dark brown with a last lacy beige head. Aroma is a fantastic roasty nutty malt, burnt wood, coffee, nougat and caramel. Very nice. Taste not quite as good but still very nice and is roasted malt, cocoa, bitter, some wood grains, nuts, chocolate and caramel. Palate smooth and ends dry. Very nice for a desert beer.

Pour deep mahogany brown, with a big creamy off-white head. Aroma of some dark fruit, raisin, figs. Also lactose, brown sugar is detected. A rather sweet beer, easy drinking, after a night with plenty of stouts.

Keg at The Rake as De Molen Melk en Mild. Brown/dark red colour with small creamy beige head. Aroma is malt and dairy. Taste gives a bit of roasted oats and milky creaminess. Very smooth and drinkable. Milk chocolate element. Tastes very brown! Very nice.

33 cl. bottle @ Delirium Hoppy Loft: A: black with a red hue & tanned head – S: lots of sweet charcoal, touch of coal as well, roasted malts & plenty of lactose powder – T: roasted malt, sweet charcoal, ashes, roasted wood, hint of fruits, cocoa powder, touch of hops, roast & plenty of lactose powder – B: very full especially (but not just for a) 3.5 %, slightly powdery structure like milk powder or trampled charcoal (nice), clearly present carbonation, I had no idea what to expect with this one but whatever this was, I loved it to bad that the excitement slightly wore off by the end because the more I drank it, the slightly more interesting more parts began being somewhat overpowered and an overhaul was made to the other side

Thanks 77ships for the share. Couleur brun clair, col beige fin.
