COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The King of roastiness. Overwhelmingly bitter, hopped to the max and full of dark burnt roast grains. The bitterness can only balance the notes of dark chocolate, coffee and licorice that this massive 14% beer leaks out from its steady malt profile. Extreme as it gets.

Odense Late Summer Post-Munkekonge Whale Spotting Night. Black with a small tan head. Roasted aroma of licorice and charcoal, with boozy alcohol. Sweet and alcoholic flavour with licorice, dark sugar and dried fruit, plenty of hops, and a roasted, ashy finish. Quite sweet and very full bodied. Doesn’t taste like 14%. Well made.

Bottle. Black, brown head. Nose is very pungent licorice and heavy coffee. Dark fruits along with the licorice in the flavour. Mole, salty notes. A bit sweet, which seems to be a theme with this brewery. Nice sipper.

On tap at Schouskjelleren, october 1st 2013. Black body, tiny beige head. Roasty aroma with dark fruits, vanilla, pine and grass. Bitter taste of lots of roasted malt, dark chocolate, plums. Noticable alcohol, finishing with a strong roasted coffee taste. A nice hoppy bitter imperial porter.

15.02.2014. Førtito Bar & Bowling, Sarpsborg. Black colour with tan head. Soft aroma of burnt dark malts. Strong beer with rich body. Flavours of coffee and more dark malts and a dry bitter chocolate aftertaste. There is lots of hops and looooots of flavours!

Pours a completely opaque brown-black with a very small red-tan head and no legs. Aroma is liquorice, raisin, acidic burnt malt, a little bit of coffee. Taste is very sharp acidic burnt roasted malt and more syrupy raisin liquorice. Not pleasant - quite harsh and acidic and sweet. Every single Revelation Cat beer I've tasted has been a disappointment.
