4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 jstraw (1700) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 17, 2012Muddy amber with big, creamy, flotsam, off-white head / Curious nose of ham, wood (acasia?), orchard fruit, bread, and caramel / Elegant, medium body, acidic and lightly sour, with good balance and bitter finish / Stylish flavors of caramel, wood, resin, cooked apple, ham, and Swiss cheese / To be the dissenter, this is weird but good stuff for fans of the Belgian ales of Jolly Pumpkin or Fantome. Double IPA - I don’t think so.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Wolfbass (748) - Firenze, ITALY - APR 27, 2013
Grande bere!!
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 PotjeBier (1021) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - MAR 5, 2013
UPDATED: MAR 7, 2013 And a third 4 year old bottle, next to the French Oak & American Oak. Golden to amber color, clear, seems there’s a bit more carbonation. Aroma’s: herbal, tea, caramel & biscuit retronasal, bergamot. Flavor is medium sweet, light bitter, with biscuit. Medium bodied, drinks easily too. Finishes slightly dry with a medium bitterness. Not much left of the wood, alas.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 zaf (167) - ITALY - FEB 3, 2013
aroma: caramel, cereal, resin, floral, alcohol, woody,
apparenza: orange, red, sparkling, rocky head,
gusto: medium sweetness, very bitter,
palato: full body, slick feel, soft carbonation, bitter,

Richmond 19th. Medium brown, aroma yeasty, some caramel. Even more caramel. Not bad. First beer done on acacia wood I think!
4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 Kikuzzo (129) - Bologna, ITALY - JAN 26, 2013
Poca schiuma colore arancio, miele su tutto, amaro alla fin. Eccellente anch per chi diffida dal miele!
5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20 tyler_durden (113) - ITALY - JAN 26, 2013
Great beer. It pours golden clear with a good head on top. Acasia wood make the beer sweet like acasia honey but there is also a good bitterness that balances everything very well.
3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 obguthr (3234) - Poquoson, Virginia, USA - JAN 19, 2013
Obligatory peanut hull and overripe orange that appears to typify the series, to me anyway. This time it features brown sugar. Chunky amber, mediym head. Astringent Orange peel. Less woody character.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 tia (805) - Sandston, Virginia, USA - JAN 19, 2013
RG 19. Bottle. Light brown with foamy cream head and light lacing. Smells like cotton candy and caramel and grapes. Tastes sweet with a light bitterness. Light bitter finish, warm.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Butters (3356) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - JAN 19, 2013
Sampled at the Richmond Gathering 19. Damn! another one that is just so similar. Has more of a ’green wood’ character, but not as spicy as the american. This one is more foresty than the others. But overall, none of the woods really stand out. All i’m seeing is that the base beer holds up pretty well. Still, very glad that these guys tried this out.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 HopTsing (363) - Sandston, Virginia, USA - JAN 19, 2013
From the bottle poured a light brown brew with a white head. Malty aroma. Full bodied with a dry malty flavor with a hint of pepper.
