Small white head. Hazy amber body. Wooden vinous tropical fruit aroma. Dry-sweet peachy vinegary taste with chalky notes. Mid-to-light body. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish peachy chalky aftertaste. Sharp, edgy, not very drinkable. (0.375l bottle, not sure where from.)
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 PotjeBier (959) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - MAR 5, 2013
Oh gosh, 4 year old wood aged DIPA, I know, I know... Golden to amber color. No head, low carbonation, but there still is. Aroma’s: herbal, lychee (so still Nelson!) with still quite strong wood notes retronasal and some caramel. Flavor is light bitter, acidic, slightly malty, biscuity, caramel-ish. Drinks remarkably easy. Finishes with medium bitterness. Not really fair to still rate this but due to lack of fresh bottles....
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 bhops (422) - Dallas, Texas, USA - FEB 2, 2013
Pours hazy orange with thick head. Aroma of varnish, hops. Flavor is grassy with peppery finish. Not over hopped. Oily mouthfeel. Interesting beer.

RG 19. Bottle. Hazy caramel with creamy head and decent lacing. Smells sticky and caramelly. Syrupy sweet again with a light biter finish. Almost bourbony.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Butters (3321) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - JAN 19, 2013
Sampled at the Richmond Gathering 19. Again, nearly identical to the others. This one does have a bit more wood on the tail end of it though. Almost like a spicy rye whisky barrel was used. More drying on the palate as well.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. The look is clear, golden in color, and has an off white head. The smell is wood, fruits, light, and ok. The taste is vanilla, wood, fruits, more woody than the french.
