Theydon_Bois (8742) - The ’Sham, Surrey, ENGLAND - SEP 5, 2014
Bottle shared at Chriso’s post GBBF minidig, 16/08/14 acquired from Brasserie 420 in Feb ’14. Hazed orange amber with moderate off white spotting and edgework. Nose carries big woody vibes, spice, caramel malt, bitter orange, light tropicana, jammy apricot, oak barrel. Taste comprises bitter tropicals, spice, orange pith, oaky wood, pine. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Hops have faded slightly, more melding towards a barley wine/american strong but still a tasty number.

Bottle - Sweet caramel and oak with some vanilla. Cloudy light orange with a thin head. Sweet caramel and raw oak. Nice and woody, a bit sweet and more like a Barleywine.

Bottle, dark amber with a thin head, woody nose, palate is woody with touchs of liquorice, apple and orange, spice and a dry citrus bitterness.

weark (307) - Morges, SWITZERLAND - MAR 19, 2014
Bottle from Erzbierschof - Golden color with poor head retention - Aroma is vinous, woody, malty, spicy, floral notes - Flavor is woody, malty, raisin, vinous - Medium body, medium bitterness, flat carbonation, very light sourness, woody finish - interesting but too woody, my bottle was probably old because it was not really an IPA

37.5cl Bottle from De Molen. Quite an old one. Hazy amber orange colour, no head. Aroma of apple juice and tropical fruits, alcohol. Flavour is alcoholic, apple juice, earthy liquorice root, wood, oak, bitter finish, slightly tart. Full-bodied.

Fruity, soft. Lots of aok and vanilla, but a very modest beer underneath. Not all the experiments are successful, but keep them coming!

Small white head. Hazy amber body. Wooden vinous tropical fruit aroma. Dry-sweet peachy vinegary taste with chalky notes. Mid-to-light body. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish peachy chalky aftertaste. Sharp, edgy, not very drinkable. (0.375l bottle, not sure where from.)

Oh gosh, 4 year old wood aged DIPA, I know, I know... Golden to amber color. No head, low carbonation, but there still is. Aroma’s: herbal, lychee (so still Nelson!) with still quite strong wood notes retronasal and some caramel. Flavor is light bitter, acidic, slightly malty, biscuity, caramel-ish. Drinks remarkably easy. Finishes with medium bitterness. Not really fair to still rate this but due to lack of fresh bottles....

Pours hazy orange with thick head. Aroma of varnish, hops. Flavor is grassy with peppery finish. Not over hopped. Oily mouthfeel. Interesting beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Richmond 19th. Medium brown, aroma caramel, yeastiness. Touch more caramel . I liked this a bit better too – even though same numbers.
