Revolution enters the terrible twos with this amazingly drinkable, nitrogenated English style IPA. A creamy body and rich hop finish...Best. Birthday. Ever.

Tap @ Rev, nitro pour. Pours slightly cloudy gold with a white head. Aroma of floral hops and grass. Creamy and slightly sweet. Decent brew.

nitro draft... beyond disappointed with this drek after the 1 year beer was simply outstanding... at least I can say this is a good looking beer, wonderful light tan head, super creamy and thick... sweet aroma, sugar, citrus with a grass backbone... the taste is super sweet, cloying and annoying, no hops at all, a train wreck of an English style beer

Small sample comsumed at the source... Pours a transparent light copper orange hue and topped with a thin to medium frothy white head quickly dissipating and leaving a consistent film... Candied sugar and sweet tart candies upfront in the nose. Hints of pale grass and citrus undertones in the backend... Sweet candied sugars and confectionary with muddled syrup fruits throughout. Hops were indistinguishable. Somewhat thick and full bodied with below average level of carbonation. A faint bitterness surfaces late but leaving no lasting impression. Lacking character but most of all missing a clean developed aroma and flavor profile.

Had on cask a week and a half before the official release. Pours a creamy looking gold with light hazy and a frothy foam on top. The nose is strangely sweet and sticky, some honey and grassy hops. Leaves a lot to be desired, tending towards a sloppy yeast profile. On tasting, it is again weird. Sweet with the hopping accentuating this. Catty and grassy with a strange bitterness. The really grassy sweetness doesn’t work for me. Not a fan of this one, unfortunately.

On cask at the brewpub. Pours a lightly hazed, golden-orange colored body with a finger-width, dense and creamy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is solid with a nice mix of sweet caramel and toffee as well as a good amount of sweet citrus tangerines and pear with some florals and a good amount of slightly spicy, earthy hops as well as a few resins. Flavor is similar and fairly sweet. Lots of juicy tangerines, apricots, some grapefruit, a light pear, and some tropical fruits balanced well with a sweeter malt backing of caramel and toffee. Some sweet bread and slightly spicy, earthy hops increase towards the end as well as a big juicy citrus before a hint of toast, a nice dry grapefruit pine with a light resin, lots of florals, and a nice malt sweetness help this finish balanced and somewhat dry with a medium-light bitterness. Lengthy aftertaste following a very smooth, medium body and a soft, moderate carbonation. Overall, a pretty solid IPA. Nice English malt sweetness and plenty of fruity, earthy, floral, slightly resiny hops to balance. Very juicy and slightly sweet, but balanced throughout, easy drinking, and enjoyable. Nice beer.

Big frothy head, golden color. Light amber that looks like honey. Classic cask mouth feel. Aroma is pretty faint. Taste ends with English hops. Mild & easy drinking. Slight grassiness.

Draft pour on tap at the brewpub (Chicago, IL). A healthy nitro pour gives a nice striking glowing amber hue, healthy glow, rich offwhite near tan head that sits atop, laces ok, stays around well. No real haze, striking hue. Aromas are crisp cereal grains, pale malts, and biscuits mixing with an earthy mix of hops. Healthy florals, weeds, and a white grape feel. Grass, dryness grows. Initial is medium bodied, a sweeter appeal with pale malts, toast, and biscuits, some growing thicker toffee sweetens this thing up, gives it some body. Cereal mixes with dry earthy hops, florals and grass, touches of weeds, dry bitterness is decent strength into the middle. Sweetness holds on, biscuits and toffee, the sweetness is mellow, but the beer itself feels thick. Lightly dry bitter finish quickly makes way for the sweeter malty edge. Some gentle spice. Earthy dry hops, not enough for me. An odd one. A miss from Revo in an IPA sense, perhaps this needs to be changed to English Pale Ale. Just not my thing.
